"You can't be certain of that," he replied, ducking past her and picking the bow back up.
She sighed and placed her hands on her hips. "You're going to work yourself into the ground."
"I have to practice," he muttered, checking the arrow was still correctly loaded.
"Oh please," Natasha sighed exasperatedly. "You have more than skill or talent Clint. It's something else; it's like second nature to you."
"That doesn't mean I won't make a mistake," he grumbled, shooting and hitting the bull's-eye.
"I know you've stopped training with Steve. Why?" she probed.
"I need to perfect my archery before I can start working on hand to hand combat."
She ran a hand through her scarlet hair and sat down again. "Why can't you just be honest with me?"
Out of frustration, he threw his hands up in the air and began pacing back and forth. "I'm embarrassed, okay? I can't fight Steve; I'm not superhuman like him. He's ten times as strong as me and ten times as quick. I'm an athlete, nothing else," he ranted and Natasha sighed, pulling Clint into a hug.
He wriggled in her grip slightly but eventually he wrapped his arms around her slim waist.
