well anyway I think what should actually happen is he get trapped in the dimension the author was trapped in. The pines family thinks he is dead 20 years later at his grave on mable,s birthday the pines "mom dad Mable Stan(if alive about 90year old) author maybe solos Mable's husband and kids" are visiting dippers grave like they have soon every year. There is a bright class and young dipper not aged or only  aged a little steps out. Mable stares at him. "Dipper? Your not dead." Jumps and huggs him. He looks confused. "Mable? What happened I was only gone a day?" Cut scene. New scene. Diaper has told them what happened he is introduced to marbles kids. A boy and girl one year apart (the girl is older) the boy is named after dipper (whatever his real name is its not Tyrone) he pulls the journal out of his vest and sets it on the table.
