Skeletal fingers stretching forward, it was unperturbed when the boy, a young Alex Veil, lashed out recklessly. His knife fazing right through it's ethereal form, Alex lost his footing due to his anxiety and stumbled right through its body.
Slowly turning around, it eyed the boy with a bit of curiosity. Shifting the bag over its shoulder, it simply continued to watch young Alex's actions for a couple more moments. But as the child turned around the toss the knife right into its skull, it decided enough was enough when the object harmlessly passed through.
Without a moments hesitation, when Alex shakily got to his feet, it acted by stabbing its skeletal arm forward. The last thing it saw of the boy eyes was undiluted fear before a sense of peace overwhelmed his expression.
Retracting its arm from the gaping hole in the child's chest, it just stood there and watched as ominous violet mist began to emanate from the wounds borders. Loosening the rope to its bag, it gazed stonily as Alex's form was soon enveloped in fog. Tilting its head forward, the smoke compressed itself into a small sphere before shooting straight into the bags opening, and with that, Death silently faded out of existence with the first part of its job completed.
