55 Cancri e, the planet of diamonds, my home. But there was something bigger calling me. I stared into space, imagining distant worlds. The famous “hot” Jupiters of the giant stars. Gilese 436 b the planet of burning ice. The small planet orbiting Sol 1 the origin of mankind. Something about them called to me. Something about the stars makes me want to be there.

I joined the Star collation. This is my only chance I have to prove I am the right person to take off my planet as the reprsentive. Star collation only takes one representive every galactic round – 20 to 30 light years – This is a once in 2 lifetimes oppertinuety. 3 life times on the industry planets like mine, the diamond pit mines kill a lot of us very young. I will be testing against many other children. I have to come out as the most inteligente in normal education and the most inteligente in astronomy, engineering, galactic history and the regulations of the starcollition. I know I will come out on top in the Astronomy engerniing and regulations but the rest is more difficult.

I did it. Tomorrow I leave this place. I will never set foot in the pit mines again! But I am bringing along a diamond I mined. Even if I can wait to leave I don’t think I am ready to completely forget my home.

I am there. I made it I am in the stars. Our first stop is Gilese we get to pick out the next represintive for that planet. We are going to pass through the most dangerous part of the galaxy. It is known as the dark spot, people say that there are pirates there. I know that there was a mysterious attack on the Star Collation’s ship The Andromeda last time they passed through.

The stories are true! The Dark Zone has pirates they are attacking. The surving represintives fifty others and I are now in the brig of the lead pirate ship. Everyone is scared, they are taking us to a black hole. The want to destroy the Star collation. But I can’t let that happen.

We have been down here for a long time. I finely convinced the others that we can rise up against the pirates. Next time they come to feed us we are going to swarm the doors and overtake them. The Star collation will live on. I will make sure of it. We will not fail, we will not waver we shall take this ship over and continue the collation.

We did it. However the pirates disabled part of the engines. We are moving extremely fast toward the planetoid 90482 Orcus with in the origin solar system. We have contacted Earth telling where we are. Unfortunately assistance will not arrive in time to save everyone. We will crash and most of us will die. This is my final entry. No matter what happens I will leave you with this. There was always something about the stars. From the most ancient civilizations to now and the distant future, they call out to us tell us things we never knew about ourselves. Never stop looking up. Even now as I stare into the darkness and see the pale dot our species called home, it's so small insignificant. For so long everything our species knew was there on that tiny speck of light suspended in darkness.
