Thinking, thinking, thinking of my life,

It makes me a little dam of tears.

The tears were nonstop; still I wipe,

This is the emotion of my years.


Don't think, don't think I am sad;

These tears were saying I am glad.

Once my tears were shown in blue,

But this was a feeling that feels new.


Once, in the past, I lost my night,

But Jesus said to me, "I am the light."

This made me fly free like a bird.

How can I say those feelings in words?


Now say, now say, what do my tears say?

Happy or sad-what am I on this day?
