Is it important to confess love?
I ask myself, again and again
an echo that refuses to fade.
People say it matters.
They say the heart should speak.
But not everyone is brave enough
to lift their feelings into the light.
I think just loving
is courage enough
a small, quiet fire
burning steady in the chest.
And confessing?
That is when the flame steps forward,
unsure if the wind will blow it out.
Sometimes, the words stay hidden.
They fold themselves back
like petals that refuse to open.
So the eyes speak instead
two small mirrors
holding unbroken stories.
A quiet smile escapes,
bright as morning light.
And the one we love
glows a little more each day,
as if time itself is polishing them
into something softer, brighter.
Some love from a distance.
Not out of fear,
but because their devotion is gentle
a lantern left far off,
steady and burning,
even if no one knows it is there.
And maybe that, too, is a quiet bravery
loving without claiming,
loving without condition,
loving even when the words
never find their way out.
