The village was asleep beneath the quiet moonlight.

A cool breeze entered through the open window of Methon's room, but sleep refused to visit him. Although Valindra's family had treated him like one of their own, the betrayal he had suffered still echoed in his mind.

Suddenly...

Tap... Tap...

A gentle knock came from the window.

Methon walked over and opened it.

Standing outside was Valindra, wearing the same carefree smile that somehow made every problem seem smaller.

"Come on," she whispered. "Let's go outside."

Before he could stop her, she climbed through the window.

But as she stepped inside, her foot slipped.

"Ah!"

Without thinking, Methon caught her.

The force pulled both of them backward, and they fell onto the bed together.

For a few seconds...

Neither of them spoke.

Their eyes met.

Valindra immediately sat up, her cheeks turning slightly pink.

"Don't misunderstand," she said awkwardly. "That wasn't planned."

Methon smiled for the first time that night.

"I know."

A moment later, both of them quietly climbed back through the window and walked into the silent garden behind the house.

The moonlight covered the fields like silver, and only the sound of crickets could be heard.

After walking for a while, Methon finally broke the silence.

"Can I ask you something?"

Valindra smiled.

"You've been asking questions ever since we met."

He looked at her seriously.

"Why do you always talk about running away?"

"You wanted to run away from your home."

"Tomorrow, you're planning to run away with Elon."

"And now you've dragged me out of the house at midnight."

He sighed.

"Does running solve everything?"

Valindra looked at the stars before answering.

"Not everything."

"But sometimes staying destroys you more than leaving."

Methon shook his head.

"No, Valindra."

"Life isn't always about adventure."

"It isn't always about fun."

"Sometimes life demands seriousness."

"Sometimes we have to stop running and face reality."

She slowly turned toward him.

For a few seconds, she simply looked into his eyes.

Then she smiled.

"Really, Methon?"

"You're the one saying that?"

He frowned.

"What do you mean?"

She stepped closer.

"Look at yourself."

"You're serious every second of your life."

"You buried yourself inside your pain."

"You stopped smiling."

"You stopped living."

"So tell me..."

"What did all that seriousness give you?"

Methon fell silent.

He had no answer.

Valindra continued gently.

"I'm not saying life should always be fun."

"I'm saying life should belong to us."

"If I choose the wrong person..."

"If I ruin my own future..."

"If tomorrow I regret every decision I make..."

"I'll accept it."

"I will never blame someone else."

"Because it was my decision."

"My mistake."

"My responsibility."

She smiled softly.

"If someone else ruins my life, I'll spend my whole life blaming them."

"But if I ruin my own life..."

"I'll learn from it."

"I'll survive it."

"And I'll become stronger because of it."

She looked at him with complete honesty.

"We only get one life, Methon."

"So why should we live according to someone else's choices?"

"At least let our happiness..."

"...and even our mistakes..."

"...belong to us."

The night became silent again.

Methon stood there without saying a single word.

For the first time since Ilana betrayed him...

Someone had not tried to comfort his broken heart.

Instead...

She had challenged the way he was living.

Valindra looked at him and smiled.

"You know..."

"When I first met you on the train..."

"...your eyes looked completely empty."

"But today..."

"I saw you smile."

"And honestly..."

"I like that version of you."

Methon smiled faintly.

"Maybe..."

"That's because of you."

She laughed.

"Good."

"Then promise me one thing."

"What?"

"No matter how hard life becomes..."

"...never stop living."

"And never stop smiling."

Methon looked at her quietly.

"I promise."

Valindra's smile slowly faded.

She looked toward the distant mountains.

"It's time."

Methon understood what she meant.

"You're leaving..."

She nodded.

"My train has already left."

"So now..."

"I have to walk toward my own decision."

She adjusted the straps of her backpack.

Then she looked back at him.

"Will you come with me?"

Methon remained silent.

His heart knew the answer long before his mind accepted it.

Without saying a word...

He picked up his own backpack from beside the window.

Valindra smiled.

"I knew you would."

Together...

They quietly climbed over the garden wall.

Without waking a single person...

Without saying goodbye...

The two disappeared into the darkness.

Behind them...

The village slept peacefully.

Ahead of them...
