Stone walls and ceilings returned. Gone were the planks of wood and velvet drapes. Mind racing, I spun around to find any signs of the auditorium but only cold stone met my gaze.

The interface confirmed that it was real. But where did it go?
A suspicion crept into my mind as I stared at the wall behind me. Narrowing my eyes, I grazed the wall with my finger.
It was met with no resistance.
Grinning triumphantly, I pushed my hand through the wall, watching as it phased through. Sauntering past the fake wall, I rested my eyes on the opulence of the auditorium, hundreds of seats lining the hall.
A place so familiar yet… cold.

I took in my surroundings. Lurid red carpet rolled across the centre of the vast hall, while viridescent velvet draped across the walls in a decadent display. The stage itself was made of rich ebony planks with an opaque curtain obscuring its interior.
Padded hardwood chairs made up the seating, though it was eerily empty, like the after hours of a show.
Cautiously, I stepped forward, trying to be as inconspicuous as I could.
As I stepped into the path carving straight through the seating, an uncontrollable shiver ascended my spine.
I felt exposed without a weapon or other people to secure my safety. My gaze scoured the room for presences or things to put myself between and the enemy.
I shuddered. Let's hope it wasn’t spiders.
Something caught my eye, a light wooden mannequin sitting on one of the velvet seats like an audience member.
If I could take one of its arms… With my mind set, I advanced on the mannequin, my arms posed to rip at its wooden joints.
Resting my foot on the mannequin's chest, I tugged at the arm. Suddenly a flash of acute pain struck my gut, sending me careening across the seats, wooden arm grasped in my hand.
What the hell?
My vision swam as my lungs struggled to expand. Thankfully, I didn't seem to be bleeding. Looking up, a grey prompt appeared in front of me.

Are you kidding me? That “weak” piece of kindling sent me flying across a whole row of chairs. The mannequin was now stalking towards me, its remaining arm limp at its side. Clutching at the stolen club of an arm, I charged at the mannequin, slamming the arm at where the head and shoulders connected.
Its head teetered dangerously but didn’t fall. A slew of curses escaped me as I watched the mannequin use its considerable weight to swing. My knuckles turned white as I gripped at the swinging arm.
A gust of wind shoved at me as I spun around. Legs flailing wildly, I used my one free arm to repeatedly hit the neck of the mannequin. Seeing its head on the brink of collapse, I intensified my assault, the resounding thumping music to my ears.
Finally, I felt the constant shaking abate, the mannequin crumbling to a heap on the floor.

The mellow note of a piano sounded from behind the curtain. A middle C, the core of all music. Notes continued to play and echo in the auditorium. I tensed, prepared for anything.
Nothing happened.
My breath eased, the thundering in my heart calming, maybe the notes were to signal my victory. Beating a mannequin to death with its own arm was an… interesting experience. I perched on the edge of my seat, resting my slightly aching arms.
A clack of wood came from behind me. Turning around, I glimpsed three identical wooden golems staggering towards me and their dead brethren.
