音樂創作者櫻井望因迷失初心、陷入創作瓶頸，決定回到鄉下老家療癒身心 。他偶然得知兒時常去的百年地方博物館即將被拆除，便動身前往敘舊 。在畫廊裡，他邂逅了一位專心凝望畫作《落日稻田》的神祕白髮老人 。  老人分享了作者「福田康助」因單純熱愛而為自己創作的豁達心態，一席話瞬間點醒了耽溺於名利、盲目追求現狀的櫻井望，讓他找回最初的感動與創作靈感 。直到閉館時分，警衛前來催促，櫻井望一轉頭才驚覺老人已憑空消失 。  在警衛的訴說下，他得知了博物館的奇幻傳說，這才恍然大悟：原來那位溫柔開導他的神祕老者，正是畫作創作者福田康助的靈魂 。這場不可思議的跨時空奇遇，不僅解開了他的心結，更成為他心中永恆的創作養分 。
