流浪畫家莊信宇在陰雨綿綿的山城中，邂逅了由天界私自下凡的聒噪花使「彤蘿」，以及石板屋旁由繡球花幻化而成的溫柔花靈「繡繡」 。繡繡在雨天才能現身，百年來不求永生，只為苦苦等待當年細心將她拉拔長大、卻因重病離世的日本主人坂田龍司 。  在一次驚險的山難搜救中，信宇與彤蘿歷經生死關頭，不僅救了村裡的小女孩，更讓信宇解開多年來失去家人的心結，並意外循線找來了坂田先生的後代 。最終，繡繡看見主人留下珍視她的手札，圓滿了無憾的思念，隨後與彤蘿一同返回天界 。雨季過後，山城迎來晴朗，而彤蘿也正式獲得天界任命，帶著新夥伴再度回到凡間，與信宇重逢並開啟全新的植物冒險 。
