Not because I understand every rule—I absolutely do not—but because there is something strangely thrilling about watching twenty-two people run after one ball with the seriousness of a national emergency.
A match can be calm one second and completely chaotic the next. One goal can turn an entire stadium from silent to deafening, and somehow, even people watching from home begin shouting at the screen as if the players can hear them.
I enjoy football because it is unpredictable. A team can dominate an entire match and still lose in the final minutes. A single mistake can change everything. There is always the possibility that something unexpected will happen.
Also, I enjoy watching people dramatically collapse onto the grass after being lightly touched.
That part is important too.17Please respect copyright.PENANAN0RQnFHpQn
