Two weeks later, Suphakorn High School was transformed for its annual Sports Day.

The school grounds were filled with colorful flags, cheering students, and music blasting from the speakers.

Every class had been preparing for weeks.

Kavin, as expected, was chosen for the basketball exhibition match and the 400-meter relay.

Than volunteered as the emcee for the opening ceremony.

Rin joined the school's photography team to capture the event.

Khem, however, had a different role.

He was part of the first-aid committee.

"You don't want to compete?" Than asked while pinning his class badge to his uniform.

Khem smiled.

"I'm not very athletic."

"So you chose first aid?"

"I wanted to help."

"That sounds like you."

The opening ceremony began with loud cheers.

Students marched onto the field carrying class banners.

When Kavin's name was announced, the crowd erupted.

"Go, Kavin!"

"You've got this!"

Girls from several classes held handmade signs with his name on them.

Kavin smiled and waved politely.

As he walked across the field, his eyes instinctively searched the first-aid tent.

He found Khem arranging medical supplies.

Khem noticed him too.

He gave a small thumbs-up and smiled.

Kavin couldn't help smiling back.

That simple gesture meant more to him than all the cheers from the crowd.

The basketball match began.

Kavin played confidently, leading his team with quick passes and accurate shots.

Every time he scored, the audience cheered.

From the first-aid tent, Khem watched quietly.

"Your friend is really popular," another volunteer commented.

Khem looked toward the court.

"He works hard."

The volunteer smiled.

"You seem proud of him."

Khem blinked.

"I guess I am."

Near the end of the game, a player collided with Kavin while fighting for the ball.

He stumbled and landed hard on the floor.

The gym fell silent.

"Kavin!"

Than immediately ran toward the court.

The coach signaled for the first-aid team.

Without thinking, Khem grabbed the medical kit and hurried over.

"Are you hurt?" Khem asked, kneeling beside him.

"My ankle..." Kavin admitted with a slight wince.

Khem carefully checked the injury.

"I don't think it's serious, but don't stand up yet."

Kavin looked at him instead of his ankle.

"You're worried."

"Of course I am."

"We're friends."

Those three words warmed Kavin's heart despite the pain.

After the match, Khem insisted on walking Kavin to the school clinic.

Than and Rin followed behind.

"You're lucky," Than whispered.

"Lucky?"

"You've got your own personal medic."

Kavin elbowed him gently.

"Stop talking."

Rin laughed quietly.

At the clinic, the nurse confirmed it was only a mild sprain.

"You'll need to avoid sports for a few days."

Kavin sighed.

"There goes basketball practice."

Khem handed him an ice pack.

"Listen to the nurse."

"Yes, Doctor Khem."

"I'm not a doctor."

"Not yet."

Khem laughed.

"I never said I wanted to be one."

As school ended, Khem stayed behind to make sure Kavin's ankle felt better before they left.

Watching Khem patiently adjust the bandage, Kavin thought to himself,

"Maybe... this is enough."

He didn't need a confession.

He didn't need Khem to love him back.

For now...

Walking home together and sharing moments like these felt precious enough.
