In a place known as Smilestown, where everything is fine and everyone is happy, people with special abilities, known as power-wielders are respected as heroes of the town. Anyone with powers receive more opportunities for development since they are deemed more capable than others. Powers are classified into 7 main types: Long-ranged, Short-ranged, Healer, Buffer, Shielder, Information and Creation. Ryla, an ordinary 13-year-old with no powers, dreams of becoming the greatest hero in town. However, she is often mocked for her dream and is criticized for not doing well enough as a student and as a daughter.

One day, Ryla gains a useful power and starts her journey to become a hero along with some of her friends.
