紅燭照夜，嫁衣索命。

蜀西山道深處，有一處舊棧鎮，名為紅棧。

此地依崖而建，雲霧終年不散。棧道之下是百丈深谷，山中有婚祠、義莊、懸棺與舊寨宗法。活人沿棧道入山，死人則由婚書歸祠。

近來，紅棧接連發生命案。

死者或為寨中長老，或為地方豪紳，或為官面中人，生前皆名聲清白，死後卻都倒在紅燭婚房之中，身旁留下一封紅嫁箋。


箋上只寫一句：

良辰已至，請君赴嫁。


山中傳言，是鬼魂索命。

為查陰籍真相，青鴴披上紅嫁衣，扮作鬼新娘潛入冥婚儀式。

蜀道入雲，紅棧懸崖。

一紙紅嫁箋，能將活人寫入陰籍，也能讓死人借名歸來。
