邁托邁許，一個早在16世紀就發現石油並加以運用的文明。他們對電力的發展甚少，並依賴各地石油井持續擴展著。街道上磚瓦樓林立，油管透過煉油廠連至民宅，民生用燈、風扇、爐火多靠燃油能源，樓房上因而誕生許多長管狀煙囪，天空也因此常灰濛濛。

1770年11月5日，邁托邁許西邊的屏障消失，發現了富含礦產的新大陸，而裂痕有少量異災出現。他們開發新大陸的過程中發現新能源加以運用，造就新大陸飛昇般的成長、進步，然而發展卻鮮少回饋舊大陸，導致兩地發展差距越來越大。

1829年7月3日，邁托邁許東邊屏障消失，大量異災出現並侵入市鎮，政府軍不敵， 最終頒布命令遷移至新大陸，然而不是所有人都能受惠...
