Maybe I don’t actually need those Stalker teeth that badly. Maybe I’ll check out the area north of my Lifepod. It’s so close to my home base, it can’t be that dangerous, right?
"Not dangerous"—that was just wishful thinking. My Seamoth passed through that northern area before, and there are some seriously deep ravines there. On this planet, anything too far from the surface is haunted! Okay, slip of the tongue—I mean, infested with terrifying sea monsters.
At about 100 meters deep in the north, it’s already pretty desolate, and there are aggressive monsters everywhere. Even in my Prawn Suit, I still get banged up when they ram into me. The Seamoth is way more fragile than the Prawn, so it doesn't stand a chance. I found some ship wreckage nearby, along with a blueprint for a Captain’s doll. I figure I’ll only get around to making that once I’m "financially free" and want to put some decorations in my base. Over the past few days, I’ve picked up a few pieces of lab equipment that I can use as ornaments, too. I mean, it’s not like I actually know how to use them for anything else.
I wandered a bit further out, and three monsters took turns ramming into me. I tried to see if there was a safe landing spot in the ravine nearby, but it felt like if I dropped the Prawn down there, it would never come back up. I’m still missing some materials, too. I took one look at that abyss and decided, yeah, I’ll come back once I’ve got better gear. Let’s loop back to the "18th level of hell" and see if I can find anything else there. I couldn't fully explore that deep pit before because I was running low on air, but I’ve got the 900m depth module now.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find the entrance to the pit. I took the Seamoth a little further out, and the radiation warnings started blaring. It looks like while I was out hunting for materials and mining, the Aurora’s reactor had a few more explosions.
I didn't want to give up, so I circled around again and finally found the entrance. The moment I got close, the AI started screaming about high radiation levels. Looks like I’m not getting in there. Time didn't stop just because I ignored the rescue team, and I have absolutely no clue how to advance my tech further—let alone deal with all this alien technology I’ve been seeing.
I decided to put the frustration aside and just focus on getting those Stalker teeth so I can craft whatever new gear I can actually finish.

I circled the Kelp Forest several times and even camped out waiting for Stalkers to show up, but I had no luck getting any teeth. To make matters worse, this Kelp Forest is halfly irradiated now. When I first got here, there were three Stalkers; now there’s only one left.
Which means, if I can’t make any technological breakthroughs, maybe this planet is going to end up with nothing but giant monsters that crush my Seamoth, all thanks to the radiation.
Put another way: I crashed into this beautiful ocean with my high-tech gear, and now only the ugliest monsters are going to survive.
I’m definitely a supporter of technology, but progress comes at a price. I’ve been trying to keep up with the tech to mitigate that damage, but this disaster... maybe the rescue team knows how to fix it.
I’m heading back to my Lifepod and setting off toward the location from the broadcast.

或許我沒那麼需要魚龍的牙齒。或許我去 Lifepod 北邊看看。離我住處那麼近，應該不會太危險吧，
「不危險」只是我的妄想。之前seamauth 曾路過北區，有很深的海溝。這星球上，離海平面太遠的地方，都有鬼啊！好吧，是我口誤。有恐怖的海怪。
北邊100m 深的地方，已經蠻荒涼，而且有攻擊性高的海怪了。我駕駛蝦蝦裝甲過去，還是會被撞傷。seamauth 比蝦蝦裝甲脆多了。我在附近發現船隻殘骸，還有船長娃娃的設計圖。我會做隻船長娃娃時，應該是財富自由的時候吧，在家裡放些裝飾器。過去幾天也撿了幾個可以拿來當裝飾器的研究所儀器。畢竟我不會用嘛。
走到稍遠處，三隻海怪輪流衝撞我，我試著評估旁邊的海溝是否有著陸的可能。還是蝦蝦裝甲下去就回不來了。我還有欠缺的素材。看一看海溝，嗯，下次做出更好裝備再來好了。繞回去十八層地獄看看哪裡還能找到東西吧。那時因為空氣不足，沒能好好繞完整個深坑。現在已經拿到900m 深海模組了。
不巧我找不到深坑在哪，seamauth 開得稍遠一點，就有輻射警示。想必在我外出找樹物及挖礦期間，母艦的核能又爆炸了幾個。
不死心再繞一次，總算找到深坑入口了。一靠近，ai 就發出輻射過量警示。看來我進不去了。時間並沒有因為我拒絕回應蒐救隊而停止。而我現在對於該怎麼推進科技發展沒有頭緒。更不用說我看到過外星科技。
放下鬱悶的心情，我還是去找魚龍的牙齒，把可以完成的新裝備做出來。
在藤蔓森林繞好幾圈，也蹲點等魚龍出現，但是沒有拿到魚龍牙齒的運氣。而且這個藤蔓森林已經被輻射污染，魚從從我剛來時的三隻，變成只剩一隻了。
也就是說，如果我沒辦法達成科技進展，或許這星球會因為輻射污染，只剩會把我的 seamauth 碾碎的大海怪。
再換另一種說法，我跟著高科技墜落到美麗的海域，導致只剩醜惡的怪物活得下來。
我絕對是科技支持者。發展也會有其代價。而我試著以追趕科技的方式降低代價。而這個災害，或許救援隊知道怎麼解決。
我回我的 Lifepod, 依廣播前住指定地點。
