        格里曆元年，格里帝國成立。隨即便以其強大但為數不多的國家魔導士軍團消滅了周邊以一百三十八個以鍊金術士聞名的小王國組成的南大陸鍊金聯盟。統一了半個格南非爾大陸，史稱「鍊金術之殤」。

       但隨著多次征戰，格里帝國都出現了中衰的跡象。這個時候，北部的魔導大國—亞非恩帝國便於格里曆十五年向格里帝國發起侵略。

        為了抵抗亞非恩帝國，格里帝國建立了梅林魔導學園，培訓更多魔導學的人才。
