The two summoners nervously watched the room with several mirrors facing Dennis " Are you sure ? I know I've improved them a lot because of what you said , but this feels a bit crazy "
" We're just doing this one at a time , plus don't you want to know ? " the first Dennis reflection was returned and Dennis used the new magical circle that Dorn had created for her suggestions .
Dennis started the spell and a reflection was connected to her . She felt like her mind was expanding and marveled at the new sensation " Amazing " she looked at herself and placed her palm on her reflection as she controlled it .
" Dennis " " Shh " Dennis intertwined her fingers and marveled at the sensation " This somewhat feels great " the two summoners were surprised that she wasn't feeling the same pain a novice summoner would when using the spell Dorn modified .
" Does this reflection have a brain ? " Dennis asked " I think so , it does have the ability to think like you in the stage before this " Dennis felt like she had more space for thought and looked at another mirror as she conjured another reflection familiar .
But as she uses the reflection's brain to start a train of thought , it starts to crack " Huh ? " the mirror that generated the familiars shattered and Dennis was stunned to see it break .
" So the summon didn't meet your standards ? " Willow asked and Dennis was mad that it didn't work , but had to hold it in " I'll look for a substitute . Runos , thanks for helping with the research on this familiar "
Dennis tried it and it worked perfectly while she told Dorn " While the shared body of the reflection didn't work , it certainly has produced great results " Dorn wondered what the great result was while Dennis thought of the capabilities of having another Dennis that acts just like her around .
" Alright , let's go to class " ' I will need to talk to Cornish about something ' While thinking about the super world to see if she could find some superpowers , Deks told Dennis about the speedsters at home .
' They have the same thing as you do ? ' Dennis thought after seeing what Deks wrote ' Wait , we did say that the chrono field was kinda like a massive gift ' then Dennis thought of the whole world likely having superpowers .
' Oh no , that means that world is deeply influenced then ' she wonders how the brain world hasn't even found out yet and places the thought aside ' It doesn't matter what I do , even magic might be a massive form of gift that originates from higher beings '
She thinks of avoiding any form of gift , but because she already has three heavily influenced by her , she figured ' Maybe I should just start taking the gifts and hope that what Willow said about my input was right ' she can already imagine a lot of uses for the more complex superpowers .

" I want to test it out , so just help me go through " Dennis demanded while Willow , who was at her side , sent a picture to her mother as updates . After using Zip's status to go through all the paperwork , Dennis meets with Cornish .
" Alright , where the hell do I pay to get my superpower " " We don't sell superpowers , but since you have been of great service , I suppose it's fine for you to try to get one " Cornish said .

They enter a door and it opens , revealing a pillar of light in the middle of a hole that glows in different colors " This is our latest access to the superpower field " Cornish said " After we were able to open the way into the Chrono field , we were able to tap into other superpower fields "
Dennis looks at the pillar of light " We have run experiments and confirmed that you get a superpower , but we still don't have enough knowledge " Cornish said " You never thought of asking the Brain world for help ? "
" No , it could potentially leak our military power . We have our hands full with our problems already " Cornish said and they called one of the researchers " Bring out the walkway .
A platform stretched to the pillar and Dennis walked through it while wearing some safety equipment attached to a long rope "Just go when you feel like iiittt """ Saver cancels Slowpoke so that they can enjoy gathering them however they feel .
Saver and Deks quickly got to work , the pillar of light transported Dennis into what Cornish had described as the superpower field . She sees dandelions moving in slow motion and passing them immediately causes them to fly as if they were blown by wind .
" Alright , let's get to work " Deks manifested all of their appraisal skill , forming a box around Dennis's head and opening eyes around while Saver appears on Dennis's forehead , acting as a third eye of her body .
With this , Dennis could sense the superpowers she could gain . At first , it was the simple ones , like a tremendous increase in basic stats . But as she walked deeper , she found powers that sounded more like superpowers than basic body enhancements .
But she doesn't touch them thanks to the possibility that getting one could send her back " Let's keep moving " Dennis walked deeper and deeper into the fields and eventually Deks found the ability she wanted .
She ran to the given directions and found it ' Make a clone but can't control ? ' she read about each detail carefully and saw the information change as she moves her sight through the field .
She thought it was weird that to get a superpower , by digging from the ground . She has a thought of using a shovel , while Saver suggested doing the same thing they did when they tried going into the planet's core .
Dennis put the thought forward since she has yet to find it . Meanwhile , back in the research grounds surrounding the pillar , Cornish couldn't believe how deep Dennis was going , he was very ready to just call it a day and drag her back to make sure she was around or the speedsters would have to get used to everything being slow again until Willow stopped them .
" Please don't unless it's Dennis that chooses to come back you are going to be here all day because she hasn't gotten what she wants " " But she hasn't even received one she's likely a null , it's a common case " " I wouldn't call her a common case , but if she does give up at least I can say she's a bit normal "
Cornish looks at the data the safety harness was gathering as Dennis goes deeper into the field and eventually she found the ground that had the superpower she wanted ' But it's ridiculously deep inside '
She still doesn't know how to grab it , so she just locks in the target and stretches her consciousness to reach it and Saves the superpower ' Hmm , I'm still here ? ' Dennis first looks at her loot and checks to confirm it was the right power .
' Deks , I'll leave this to you to process ' Dennis looked around the fields and felt like she could get more if she just looked for it . She started letting her creativity run wild , imagining different superpowers that could be used differently to help her decide on a superpower .
' There could be one that changes the temperature of an object , but if you think about what temperature actually is . You might even attain a power that chemistry would like . But if that's how the chemistry power can be like , then there is no reason for it not to be linked to temp control '
She starts imagining an arrow that branches from initial powers into different ones that are slightly connected . She first imagined a boost of strength , linking it to adrenaline , but also mutations to cause increased bone density and the like .
She links Mutation to the power of adaptation and then starts drawing a branch ' Wait , I could use this to find a suitable gift ' she starts branching the arrows and thinks of the possibility that the source of all these powers could come from the higher being that supports this world .
' Okay , I'm starting to have a clear vision of what the superpower I want ' she closes her eyes to focus on her imagination of branching superpowers ' Since the field is structured in a way that connects any superpowers , just like the subjects of STEM connecting four subjects together . '
Dennis wondered if she could get the whole superpower field , but instead of getting the whole field , she imagined something more familiar ' That's right , a gift , but this time I would rather not have a kid . It's great enough that I already have three , but I'm barely twenty , so please just give me my desired superpower '
The ground around her reacts to Dennis's imagination as she drew arrows that show how a human body is capable of acquiring increased speed ' Mutations , access to energy and so many more are great and all , but I'd rather it be training since I'm already at this level '
From the arrow with training on it , she imagined different results that can be obtained , such as skills like swinging anything to turn it into a sword . From the mutations arrow , she can imagine transformative powers , like turning into animals , plants or impossible living entities like a flaming man .
She also connects Mutations to complete transformation to elemental powers like flames , lightning and etc . Her imagination keeps going and the field begins to react to her even more .
" What the hell " Zip couldn't believe the panic the researchers were in while Willow finds a spot with the least foot traffic ' Dennis , what exactly are you doing ? '
Willow thought of how much Dennis was hiding and wondered how it could be dangerous if she got involved with a higher being somehow . Meanwhile , Dennis was thinking that Willow might be thinking about how she is doing and as if she was speaking to her , she replied .
' Willow , you are right about me involving myself with a higher being ' Saver saves the knowledge that Dennis was processing and she gave suggestions about silencing her senses .
" Ha " Dennis couldn't sense anything , but she definitely knew that after imagining too hard on the mechanics behind the fields . The ground opened , leading her to a higher being , but she doesn't recall what happened between now and that entrance .
She assumed that the lack of memories was because Saver took that information . But she does get her body's condition right now , she receives the information through Saver .
' So my body is still healthy and Yeld is processing the atmosphere containing it , so I don't breathe it in while Saver is maintaining the Loading of oxygen and Deks prevented my senses ' Dennis couldn't tell where the eldritch being is , but if just looking at it could cause brain damage , then she was gonna need to find a way out .
' No , that's not possible , the three are doing their hardest , so I'll have to be the one to deal with it ' she wanted to use other powers , but if she does , that thing that made her go crazy might just do something that could kill her .
She cleared her throat and let out some words " I do not know how I was brought in here , but it might have to do with my affinity with beings like the three distinct ones in me "
Dennis paused while calming herself and said " Although please leave the conversation to me , I will do my best to predict what you might say . I am used to predicting what other people will say , so allow me to Save you some time "
Dennis starts predicting based on what she understood of the higher beings , but she had such a limited database , so she points out " However , I am a foreigner , not native to this land , so I do not understand what you are , so I will only base my predictions on other beings such as you "
' Currently , the only higher being that is very clear about what they do is the one in the card world ' " So , as I said before , the reason I fell is likely because of my affinity . How do I know ? Well , it seems like the three distinctive beings in me greatly appreciate my ability to interpret their abilities . And my last set of thoughts was about interpreting this superpower field that you likely created for this world as a superpower "
' It doesn't seem like they are reacting , maybe they are curious because I'm answering some questions ' Dennis wonders if this is what a book does to be able to speak with the reader by answering questions they likely will ask .
" As for why I am here ? I actually want a specific power , but the natives here say that it is random . But on the other hand , I don't think it's random , we believe a lot of things are left to our luck , but it's only that way because a lot of factors influence it . "
Dennis checks on her gifts , who seemed to have gotten used to handling , in keeping her alive " I only interpreted the field you produced in my own lens and for some reason , the ground gave out . I can only assume the case that they want something from me because these three things inside me grow through my interpretation "
' I really don't know what the result is , all I can do is keep talking and hopefully they'll let me out ' Dennis starts thinking of different ideas and conversation starters .
" I have some ideas on how the field can be developed , but it is mostly just an idea . I imagine it as a sort of place that can be used like a farm to draw out power , but I can't really tell , most of my ideas somehow come to fruition by inputting enough knowledge and letting the three presences in me , fill in the gaps "
From the hole she fell into the Field starts stretching towards Dennis " I can imagine that the power that the speedsters draw out could be energy , but it could be linked to "living in different worlds" because speedsters are moving so fast they may as well be living in another world "
The ground stretched towards Dennis , while she made some suggestions . Saver , who was getting used to giving Dennis oxygen , was about to help Yeld save the unfamiliar atmosphere . Until they saw the ground starting to change as Dennis continued talking .
It changed to branches , to rocks , to metal , to water and so many familiar elements , but as it got to Dennis , it flickered into Arrows , matching what she had imagined .
The arrows split and branched away , but the final destination was still Dennis and they entered her just like how Saver entered her . Dennis takes a pause , thinking about how she really wanted to get out , but logically thought of how that kind of movement was possible .
She suddenly recalled playing platforming games and the train of thought ran ' I can definitely get it from the skill cards Deks is hoarding ... I could use Deks's skill , but that might expose much information , which couldn't be good or irrelevant . But still too risky and I'd rather it be some power more familiar '
Dennis turned her attention back to a discussion of the limitations of the speedsters " Other than the world moving too slow , the speedsters also have to account for many factors if they want to move . Humans have limits in tolerating increased speed and even swimming is difficult because they are moving at a fast rate . So I can imagine the use of a power that uses force to push someone forward "
The skill cards then follow that suggestion while Dennis continues with the suggestion " You can use telekinesis for it , but that would be no different from flight . So instead , you can input the power into something that creates arrows and each arrow has a certain amount of force "
Dennis imagined using up all the forces in the black hole that stores the force of gravity from the liquid trees on top of the building . She then gains vision of the black hole and black arrows start coming out of the black hole .
' Huh ? ' an arrow comes out of Dennis's body and shoots her away from the higher being . Saver quickly Loaded to her about what they saw ' So I got a superpower ? ' Dennis braced herself as the black arrow took her away from the higher being .
She tells Saver to Save all evidence of the higher being's influence and when she got out of the hole , her senses returned .
" Saver , I need the strongest acceleration possible " Saver Loads as much time as they can and Dennis thought back to the chrono field as the arrows she absorbed generated the thought acceleration that she needed , absorbing some energy from the field to supply her desire for that superpower .
She flies while the rope follows her and Loads a saved position to look at the hole ' It's only the surface , but there is already a flood of information ' she reaches into Deks to grab all sorts of thought acceleration and processing skill .
' This is an opportunity to learn , the world sure is starting to move faster than I can keep up . ' the past encounter felt unnatural , but something like that is considered a rare opportunity and experience .
However , that is a problem that no one can handle them , she can't throw this one into the brain world because she feels like a world dependent on brain improvement might have been influenced already by another higher being that disguised itself just like Trad world's higher being through the Garden gift holder .
As the hole repairs itself and Dennis gets further , she thought of a plan ' I'm gonna need to look into my world ' Dennis removes the acceleration herself and the three gifts relaxed as the threat disappeared .
' This is such an experience ' even though her life and sanity were threatened , she didn't hate it . Instead , she soaked in that experience as she retreated from the fields ' I wonder how much mom will scold me when she finds out I was risking my life willy nilly ... but I already told her about my other accidental encounters '

" There must be something that you want if you are visited my twice in a day " her mother said while drinking some tea Dennis brewed " Yeah , so remember when I said I witnessed the same being through a memory I saw one today "
