寄居古廟的窮書生陸硯，詩文清麗，布衣蔬食。父親含冤而死，他苦讀七年，只為有朝一日金榜題名，洗雪父冤。

他日日來書坊，隔著一排書架，望她執筆抄書的側影。
她夜夜點孤燈，將他每一首詩，一字一句抄進心底。

一枝白荷，一枚竹印，一片壓乾的銀杏葉。
他塞進門縫的字畫上寫著：「執筆書千卷，心頭只一人。」
她連夜抄成的詩集扉頁上回：「山水萬程，皆有歸期。」

春闈將至，他遠赴臨安。
她將四冊手抄詩集悄悄藏進他的行囊。

金榜題名日，千里歸心時。
