this is a badly planned random murder drones fanfiction. please excuse the fact that i don't know how to use this site yet. it's about a small group of drones trying to figure out the secrets behind two drone types (i made,fan types.) that have been forgotten about by the worker and Disassembly drones. here is some information about my drone types and my characters.

Feral drones:
Defining Features:
Feral drones are different from other drone types not only in the fact that they can change some of their parts but also because they all have very different features. Feral drones can swap out almost all their parts for new parts that were made of scavenged materials or just scavenged parts from other drones. Their tails (although not all feral drones have them) are anything they can get their hands on, often disassembly-like but they can also be completely unique. Many feral drones have some sort of horns, antlers or ears, just like any feral drone part they can be completely decorative or have many functions at once. Their bodies can range incredibly as long as their removable core has a place to latch on, they can have a more common shape such as worker or disassembly drone but they can also be very different, there are many feral drones with more animal like-bodies and there are even reported sightings of a centipede like drone near the remainder of the corpse tower, basically the only limit for their appearance is what they can find. They are also capable of building a completely new shell but it is incredibly difficult, core decay or corruption is a possibility when being transferred to a completely unfamiliar body, it is also a common recipe for insanity. Most feral drones also have some sort of wings or gliders. Almost all feral drones have the ability to regenerate if there is enough material to pull from. Not all feral drones have nanite acid but those who don't often have some other sort of special defence ranging from blades they can store in their arms to bullets they can spit from their mouths they also can have multiple abilities and variations of abilities like venom that immobilizes their target. Almost every feral drone ever has some sort of hands whether they are claws worker drone hands praying mantis arms or something else entirely. They can have as many appendages as they can figure out how to find and attach. Feral drones are typically happy to hide away and experiment with new forms and abilities but they can communicate if necessary they have their own cypher language and a sort of optional hive mind function that allows anyone to talk to anyone at any time. It's very lucky they prefer to be alone or they could be a real threat, right?

Backstory:
The creator and first of this drone type are a mystery but the oldest documented feral drone was about 20 years ago, if he had a name it was never discovered but he was in the lab’s holding cells for a long time and in that time much else was uncovered. They gave him a number and chained him up in a small room in one of the most secure parts of the lab, he had acid green hair and eyes but the rest of his body was completely black, he appeared to have a shape similar to that of a disassembly drone but with legs like an animal and two pairs of acid green and black membrane like wings they looked like thin flesh or skin stretched over a carefully bent and reinforced wire. They were soft and strong and very clearly functional. He had long black claws that almost dripped the venom that was stored in them. He had long white teeth with the same venom as his claws. Instead of the common drone feet he had large claws that seemed almost like they had been covered with a layer of skin as well. He had long sharp twisting silver antlers and for the first several months wouldn't speak a word. The scientists eventually decided they didn't want to wait any longer and told him if he wouldn't speak then they would have to make him, to this he said: “you have no idea the power that you are provoking, the hive is always listening. "The scientists discussed this new development for another week before coming to a decision. They sent one unlucky scientist to talk to him, when the scientist entered the room they saw him sitting on the floor facing the wall. They walked closer and reached for his arm, the second they made contact with him he snapped up and turned his head to look at them but this time he had too many eyes and they were all fixed on the unfortunate scientist. It had been several hours since the scientists' attempt and they were concerned, the cameras in the room had gone black the moment the door was opened and nobody wanted to go check up on their plan. Eventually they decided to send three of the scientists with weapons to take a look. When they opened the door the feral drone was gone and the scientist they had sent was laying almost completely crushed on the floor, there oil splattering the walls and ceiling there wires ripped apart and their core torn out of their chest and gone. And on the other side of the door there were words written in dripping oil that said: “the hive is always watching.” The three scientists ran. They told the others and they sealed that part of the lab off permanently. The oddest thing was thought, that the room was completely intact and the door locked, there was no sign of any method of escape. There have been more cases since but no one ever tried to capture a feral drone again and their story started to fade into the background. but their numbers have grown and there's really nothing stopping them, Not anymore. The hive is awake.

Notes:
Most feral drones have insect-like features, there are exceptions however. It's just a common trait. The feral drones are very powerful but as i mentioned, they prefer to keep to themselves, they do have a sort of hierarchy though that will possibly be revealed later. (don’t want to spoil all the fun XD)
Circus drones:
Defining features:
They always have an appearance related to a part of a circus, they are tall and thin and look similar to disassembly drones. Each circus drone is connected to a specific element of a circus. They can be an entertainer, ring leader, fancy pony, clown or escape artist. Anything that can be connected to a circus. They all have white bodies but they can have any sort of pattern. A lot of them have wings and/or tails. They can all switch from claws to normal hands. They all have pointy feet like J and long fingers. They kind of just look like a stretched image. They can have random spikes or other additions like extra limbs. Their eyes and hair can be any color or multiple colors. Their abilities are connected to the element they are connected to. A ringleader might be able to control/hypnotize others, a pony might be faster and stronger than normal. It just depends. They are often broken in strange ways, they don't seem to be able to regenerate but also seem to function fine no matter how broken they are. When they are hurt they don't leak oil but instead a glowing white liquid that drips in slow motion from the injury. They seem to have an endless supply of it and an injury will continue to drip for seemingly forever if it's not sealed off. They likely have advanced control over their emotions and can turn off their pain sensors. The gravity around a circus drone just feels slightly off, and there's a sort of pressure in the air.
Backstory:
created by jester. It wanted to make another thing that it could actually compare itself to. When it learned of the drones it decided it was the perfect way to interact with this reality. It wanted to make them just like it but because it doesn't understand emotion it just copied the code of another drone and tried to take away anything it didn't understand. It somehow managed to make a functional drone, except it couldn't be killed. At all. But it could be hurt. It could be smashed to pieces, liquified, but it could still move, still think. Jester doesn't understand death so neither do the circus drones. It based their appearance of its own but wanted to give them some variety. It decided to make one that looked very similar to it and let it make more but design them off itself. It couldn't figure out how to give the one it made emotion and pain, but the one it made was able to code some emotion into the others. The first circus drone is likely nothing more than sentient dust now but there are still many communities of circus drones living in hidden places.
Notes:
jester made a bridge that could interact with the world more than it could and that bridge was the thing that made the circus drones. Also all circus drones are originally genderless but often they change to a gender they like. They also program their own personalities, their personality and emotions are still as real as a normal drones.

Drone: feral drone (deer dragon)
Appearance: he has acid green hair and eyes but the rest of his body is completely black, he appears to have a shape similar to that of a disassembly drone but with legs like an animal and two pairs of acid green and black membrane like wings that look like thin flesh or skin stretched over a carefully bent and reinforced wire. They are soft and strong and very clearly functional. He has long black claws that almost drip the venom that is stored in them. He has long white teeth with the same venom as his claws. Instead of the common drone feet he has large claws that seem almost like they are covered with a layer of skin as well. He has a thicker dragon-like tail that glistens black. He has long sharp twisting silver antlers. He wears a black and silver coat a bit like N’s.
Personality: he’s clever but often doesn't use his intelligence for the benefit of others, he’s cold and sharp but a little sarcastic if you get to know him. He isn't necessarily cruel but very apathetic and will almost always simply watch without interfering. He hides behind his masks and fake personalities but at this point all the masks are real. He does care but will not form emotional attachment to anyone. He also barely cares if he lives or dies but doesn't throw himself into danger.
Abilities:
He has a sort of robot neurotoxin in his claws and teeth that can be deadly based on the dose but to kill with it he needs to latch onto his target for a longer period of time (around 30 seconds). which isn't too hard because he already would have paralyzed them but can be interrupted which is risky, he can lose extra venom if he's disrupted and it takes longer for him to regenerate. He also has wings and can fly so that's sort of an ability. He has some nanite acid in the spines on his tail that he can shoot out. They regenerate but also take some time. His nanite acid is actually painless but just as strong as a disassembly drone’s so if you get hit and don't notice it can be dangerous. He can also snap his claws and turn things to dust but it drains him so much he pretty much never uses it. This power's limitations are connected weight not size, he can only survive disintegrating about 2,000 pounds.(which is less than you think.) He also, like all feral drones, has feral mode but he cannot control it and avoids using it at all costs.
Notes:
He’s not sure how old he is but if he had to guess he would say around twenty. He's also probably not and actually much older but he still tells people he’s twenty. (not in like, a weird way he just doesn't know and thinks that feels about right.) his pronouns are he/him at least he's pretty sure. He won't talk about the hive and pretends the whole thing at the labs didn't happen.

Drone: feral drone (moth-?)
Appearance: moth-like, she is mostly grey and black with spots of muted and blood red. She has silver-gray hair and red eyes. She has a body similar in shape to a disassembly drone but just a little shorter than a worker drone. She has a light gray body with an extra pair of arms and a disassembly drone tail. She has four large fleshy moth-like wings with red eye patterns, a thin layer of skin stretching over the plating. She has interchangeable hands like most disassembly drones and strange spikes all along her body and at her joints like an insect. Her nanite acid is red with dark specks like oil in water. She wears a simple black cropped sweatshirt and black shorts. She has a few random necklaces but prefers to dress more practical. She has red bolts instead of black and all along her arms and legs are thin strong spikes that she can use like darts.
Personality:
She is introverted and has difficulty talking to people but does try her best, she's very protective of her best friend faerie. She's a skilled fighter but constantly worried she’ll slip up and hurt someone she cares about. She’s also a people pleaser and will do anything to be accepted by those she looks up to. She's often quiet and lets people talk over her, she usually uses faerie to talk for her because she’s scared to be ignored and looked over.
Abilities:
Weird toxin in her spines/spikes that if she cuts or stabs someone with one they will almost instantly drop to the ground convulsing and coughing up oil, if not treated this can easily be fatal. She also has nanite acid that while is less corrosive and destructive will make the victim dizzy and disoriented.
Notes:
Her best friend in the entire universe is faerie and as we know introverts don't make friends, they get adopted by extroverts. She looks up to V and wants to be like her but is worried to try and actually talk to her because of her fear of being ignored.

Drone: disassembly/solver drone
Appearance:
silver and white body with pale pink and purple wings and tail. His hair is pale pink with purple under highlights. He has solver wings and tail that have merged with his normal wings and tail. His wings are disassembly with a layer of fleshy skin stretched over the metal, they are still retractable. He has a solver-like tail with several barbed disassembly drone stingers full of nanite acid. He has strange fleshy claws that seem a little more animal than machine and are retractable and replaceable with other things just like a normal disassembly drone. He wears baggy black jeans and a bright pink ribbed tank top that is loosely attached to baggy black sleeves that are gathered at the end. He wears black boots with teeth painted on the soles in white and pink. He also wears purple bows in his hair around his waist and on his sleeves and boots. And he has a cake purse.
Personality:
sorta flirty, very extroverted and friendly. He has a lot of energy and gets along well with Uzi because they are both gremlin agents of chaos. He has anxiety but does a good job managing it so he can stay calm and be useful.
Abilities:
all normal disassembly drone abilities and absolute solver abilities.
Notes:
he/they bi, def a femboy he actually had a pretty good childhood and is one of the least traumatized of the group. He’s pretty chill but protective and he fears being forgotten and left behind.

Drone: unclear. Likely feral but doesn't seem to fit right in any category.
Appearance:
It wears a white ruff like a jester or clown. It has a white body, tall and thin. It wears a jester-like hat with two points from which gold bells dangle. It has a cracked visor and a half distorted face. It has a long medium sized tail with black stripes and a bell at the tip. It has long black and white striped claws that it can swap out for hands. It has pale blue short hair. Its eyes are white. It has long legs that narrow into a point at the ends like J’s. Its arms and legs have black stripes on them and it wears a blue and yellow suit with red buttons and red pants. It has medium sized wings that look similar to a disassembly drones. Its color scheme is black, white, grey, red, blue and yellow. All the colors look faded and dull, like they were left in the sun for too long.
Personality:
it rarely shows emotion or signs of having a personality at all. But from the scraps that it did reveal, it is unpredictable, unhelpful and generally only there to watch from the corner. It seems to be gathering information, though on what, nobody can begin to guess.
Abilities:
most unknown. It seems to be able to control the colors of the environment around it which it can use to camouflage. It also seems to have an ability to do with its cracked visor because when it seems like it might be in danger the crack leaks a thick white glowing liquid. It can also fit into spaces it shouldn't. It generally breaks the laws of physics, it can lift things it shouldn't be able to and walk on the walls or ceiling like it's the ground. gravity is kinda weird around it.
Notes:
it reveals little about itself and generally unnerves everyone that interacts with it or even sees it. It can talk but the audio is a little distorted, also it has a sort of British accent. It rarely does talk. It doesn't have the emotional abilities to care or understand what people think of it. Pronouns: It/its. and its aroace. It mimics emotion and behavior. It seems to be aware of everything and nothing all at once. It doesn't miss information but it also doesn't understand how to interpret it. It's like an emotionless consciousness forced into a puppet that behaves like it has emotions and understands but actually is just trying to blend in and then the two are forced together and there's jester. The only sign of its response to an external stimulus is the way the world shifts around it. Disassembly
