Waves gently tapped the shore rocks. Before dawn, the mist turned the island grey.

When Lin Mo woke up, there was still weight on his shoulder. Xiao Qian had fallen asleep leaning against him. Lin Mo reached out to brush away a damp strand of hair, and when his fingers touched the obsidian pendant, it suddenly grew warm.

"Awake?" Xiao Qian opened his eyes, the phoenix eyes deep like unscattered dreams. "You didn't sleep last night?"

Lin Mo shook his head, gaze fixed on the pendant. "It's not an ordinary object."

"I know," Xiao Qian sat up. "In the dream, someone told me this pendant can 'hear the heartbeat of the deep sea'."

"Who was that person?"

Xiao Qian looked toward the mist-shrouded tower. "...The Island Master."

The air froze. Xiao Qian continued, "He said he wouldn't stop me from approaching the truth... but he hopes I 'don't leave this island'."

Lin Mo stared at him. "And did you agree?"

Xiao Qian smiled faintly: "I didn't answer."

"Xiao Qian," Lin Mo said softly, "if he really wants to trap you—you must be prepared to leave."

"And you?" Xiao Qian asked. "What would you do?"

Lin Mo looked at the flickering tower, his voice steady: "I would take you away." Xiao Qian's fingertips curled. He smiled—not with playfulness, but with genuine emotion. "You... are becoming more and more like that person in the dream."

The tower let out a low hum. The obsidian glowed again. Something powerful was awakening.

第二十六章：潮下回声

海浪轻拍岸石。天未亮，岛屿边缘的空气被雾笼成灰色。林墨醒来时，肩上仍有重量，千齐张靠着他睡着，呼吸轻浅。

林墨盯着坠子：“它不是普通的东西。”

“我知道。”千齐张坐起身，“在梦里，有人告诉我，这坠子可以'听见深海的心跳'。”

“那个人是谁？”

千齐张看向远处被雾笼罩的塔。 “岛主。他说，他希望我'别离开这座岛'。”

空气瞬间冻结。林墨盯着他：“那你答应了吗？”千齐张笑了笑：“我没答。”

“千齐张，”林墨轻声说，“如果他真想困住你——你就得有离开的准备。”

“那你呢？如果我被困住，你会怎么做？”

林墨望向那道金银光闪烁的塔，语气坚定：“我会带你走。”千齐张指尖蜷起，轻声道：“你啊，真的越来越像梦里的那个人了。”黑曜石坠子再次发光，某种力量正在觉醒。
