The data screens flickered unsteadily, mimicking the rhythm of waves crashing against glass.

Xiao Qian sat on a long bench by the window, the obsidian feather pendant at his ear swaying gently.

Xiao Qian froze. The man was only a few steps away from him, each step felt as though it were crushing the very air.

The Island Master did not answer; he simply reached out his hand. That hand was slender and pale, his fingertips brushing past the feather pendant by Xiao Qian's ear.

The obsidian instantly ignited with light, and the surrounding air distorted into ripples like water.

"This pendant should have remained at the bottom of the sea," he said softly, "You have wandered too far wearing it."

Xiao Qian's breathing faltered. That voice was too familiar, like the one who had called him to return countless times in his dreams.

"...You shouldn't be here." His voice trembled slightly.

"I never left." The Island Master's gaze was tender enough to be suffocating. "Everything about you comes from the sea, and to the sea it should return."

Lin Mo took a step forward but was forced back by an invisible current. The energy flowing in the air was like ocean waves, sealing him off.

Luo An urgently adjusted the terminal: "No physical entity detected... it's like a manifestation of consciousness resonance! He isn't real—"

"But he can touch me," Xiao Qian said softly.

At that moment, the feather pendant emitted a light of intertwined gold and silver, illuminating the Island Master's eyes—Gold symbolizing protection, silver symbolizing imprisonment.

The Island Master leaned down, his voice nearly a whisper: "I can give you freedom, but your freedom must remain within the sea I give you."

Xiao Qian's eyelashes fluttered; he was nearly swallowed by that light. Lin Mo gritted his teeth, rushed forward, and snatched the feather pendant away.

The air exploded into a burst of white light. The Island Master's figure slowly receded into the mist, leaving only one final sentence: "Do not forget, I am always watching you."

The light dissipated. Silence returned to the laboratory.

Xiao Qian looked down at the pendant held in Lin Mo's palm—the obsidian upon it was still throbbing, like a beating heart.

Luo An remained silent for a long time before speaking: "The signal just now has been recorded."

"Recorded as what?" Lin Mo asked.

Luo An looked up as the screen displayed a line of ancient text translated by the system: [In the name of the deep sea, immortal and eternal.]

Xiao Qian looked up, gazing at the night through the glass. The wind brushed past the strands of hair by his ear, as if someone were wordlessly stroking them.

Deep in his heart, something was slowly awakening. —Between the broken, the boundary between dream and reality began to vanish.

洛安从另一侧走入，递来一杯温水，语气平静却掩着担忧：“刚才那个信号……不像程序干扰，更像某种回声。”

小千没有回答，只是微微偏过头。

窗外的夜雾正在流动——那是一种不属于风的流动。

细碎的银色火花开始在雾中闪烁。光芒汇聚，勾勒出一个模糊的人影。

他走来时脚步极轻，几乎没有声音。银发随风散落，异色的金银双瞳静静注视着小千。

那一瞬间，时间仿佛被掏空。 ——是神秘岛屿的主人。

“你终于回来了。”声音温柔得近乎梦境，却带着不容否定的寒意。

林墨与洛安同时转身，监测器上所有信号瞬间飙升至峰值。警报系统红光闪烁，却检测不到任何热源。

小千怔住。那个男人离他只有几步之遥，每一步都像踩在空气上，压得人窒息。

“你是谁？”林墨低声问。

岛主没有回答，只是伸出手。那只手修长苍白，指尖拂过小千耳畔的羽坠。

黑曜石瞬间亮起光，周围的空气扭曲成水波状的涟漪。

“这枚坠子，本该沉在海底。”他轻声说，“你戴着它，走了太远。”

小千呼吸一滞。那个声音太熟悉，像梦里无数次呼唤他归来的那个人。

“……你不该在这里。”他的声音微微发颤。

“我从未离开。”岛主的目光温柔到令人窒息。 “你的一切都来自海，也该归于海。”

林墨上前一步，却被一股无形的流体逼退。空气中流动的能量如海潮，将他隔绝在外。

“但他能碰到我。”小千低声道。

此时，羽坠迸发出金银交织的光，照亮了岛主的双眼——金代表守护，银代表囚禁。

岛主俯身，声音近乎耳语：“我可以给你自由，但你的自由，必须在我给你的海里。”

小千睫毛轻颤，几乎要被那光吞没。林墨咬牙冲上前，一把夺走羽坠。

空气炸开一道白光。岛主的身影缓缓退入雾中，只留下一句话：“别忘了，我一直看着你。”

光芒散去。实验室恢复寂静。
