年輕的亞格斯是十七年前「畢洛士谷災難」的幸存者，他與孤兒院好友艾加在歷沙頓的卡帕柯大學過着平凡的大學生活。

他所居住的國家奧羅並不接納異能者（神裔），而米修斯博士準備在歷沙頓設立異能研究所。在一次異能者策劃的刺殺事件中，米修斯博士身亡，亞格斯則被激發出異能（神力）。

他被逼離開熟悉的生活，匿藏到高維爾中——叫「礦城」的異能者聚居地。

隨着一個又一個的威脅逼近，他被捲進黛妮亞的異能者鬥爭中。
