為了避免這些異常對已破敗的社會造成更嚴重的影響影響，一個名為「普羅米修斯」的組織負責對其進行收容、監控與研究。

他們將所有無法被理解或預測的存在視為不穩定因素，無論其是否具備善意。

然而，並非所有異常都是野蠻的野獸或無意識的現象。有些擁有情感、回憶，甚至與人類無異的生活。對他們而言，被收容與被保護之間，並沒有明確界線。

隨著時間推移，人類與異常之間的界線逐漸模糊。有人獲得力量，有人失去自我，也有人開始質疑——

被定義為「異常」的，究竟是什麼？

而試圖掌控一切的組織，是否真的理解自己面對的是什麼？
