It took me two months to talk to anyone on that damn bus. Another two months went by, and I stopped talking nonsense. I started getting more....involved, I suppose.
"So, hottest girl in the grade?" I ask.109Please respect copyright.PENANAHNQZfem82N
"Absolutely not," Arin says.
"Don't chicken out, man!" Avinash encourages him.
"Nalle, shant baith, warna maar khayega," He replies.
(Translation- Shut up, you loser. Otherwise, I'm going to hit you.)
Raising his hands in defence, Avinash backs down.
I laugh.
"What?" Arin asks in an accusatory tone.
"Just thought you'd have better guts than chickening out in front of people who are younger than you," I say, smirking.
"Hey, I'm pretty sure you're older than I am," I say.109Please respect copyright.PENANACwALQCcg54
"Really? When were you born?" He questions me.
"27th June"
"Year?"

"Yep, you're older than I am. I was born on 4th July," Arin says, grinning.
"Stop trying to change the topic. Who do you think is the hottest girl?" I ask, exasperated.
Giving me a deadpan stare, he says, "Okay, maybe Sanvi."
"Wankhar?" I ask.
Sanvi Wankhar is the classic girl, hot, plays basketball,(ok, maybe not so classic), runs really fast. I'm pretty sure half of the grade is besotted with her.
His cheeks turning the faintest hue of red, he says, "Wankhar."
I won't say I'm surprised, but I act so for the sake of it.
I laugh before I mercilessly start teasing him.
