A little sparrow sits on a tree, 

Singing a song so light and bright. 

It flies so high, so wild and free, 

With tiny wings in morning light. 

It shows the world how brave to be, 

Though small in size and slight in might. 

It builds its nest with gentle care, 

Through wind and rain it does not fear. 

It finds its strength in open air, 

Its hopeful voice is sweet and clear. 

No heavy crown, no jewels to wear, 

Yet still it sings for all to hear.
