Meredith and I couldn't believe that we lived in a time that not only a black president was in office, but now a woman was as well. We expected there to be a lot of changes, maybe something huge that would affect us, but for the most part not much was different. Oh sure, we had down times but there were ups to. There were riots and protests, but those happened with every president. I guess that something that may seem like a big change might not have the global impact you were expecting it to.
