本書作者背景橫跨工程、策略與系統設計，習慣用模型、假設與數據理解世界如何運作。日常工作中，她經常思考效率、預測、最佳化這些詞彙如何被用來影響決策，以及，當這些概念被推到極限時，會對人造成什麼樣的影響。
