- It can't be! - another revolutionary responded. All of them were certainly shocked.
- If he's evil and he accused them, that means... - the first revolutionary then turned to us - ...you're innocent?
- I know, shocker - Dawn muttered - I thought you would have noticed by now that Roby tricked you...
- Roby is the real villain - Einstein spoke loudly so that the revolutionaries wouldn't hear Dawn. Fortunately for us, they didn't.
- We need to stop him! - the second revolutionary exclaimed and we all agreed with him. Robert Rupert must end up behind bars.
- But how? We don't even know where he is!- a third revolutionary added. He was actually the random guy who started it all.
- You have a pretty large following, don't you? - Claudius remembered - You can get your revolutionaries to search for Roby. It's likely that someone will stumble upon him, by pure chance.
- Good idea- the random guy left the communications centre with his followers. We came along with them.
- You know Supreme. Where do you think he'd hide? - Sebastian asked Dawn.
- I really have no idea. Supreme never emerged out of his base, wherever that is. He only commanded us from a distance - Dawn was honest.
- Wait, you never met him in person until now? - Sebastian didn't expect such a response.
- No, I only heard him a few times when he gave us orders - Dawn confirmed.
- So this facility is the Martians' base of operations! - Arika concluded.
- But why would Roby try to burn down his own hideout? - I added.
- He only tried to incinerate the ice cream to dispose of the evidence. I highly doubt that the prison is where he resides. I bet that the base of operations is actually his office - Anthony joined the conversation too.
- Who are the Martians? Do you mean us? - one of the revolutionaries heard us talking.
- No, there's an evil organization who named itself like that, probably to confuse. As it turns out, this place is its main base of operations - Einstein was forced to reveal the truth.
- How do you know that? - the revolutionary didn't believe us at first.
- We're spies - Amber interrupted.
- Oh, right. Spies... - the revolutionary accepted this answer.
We made our way to a large group of revolutionaries. Justine was amongst them. She was acting well, because the revolutionaries didn't seem aggravated. They were happy to see their leader, but the same cannot be said about us.
- Oh, it's them! - Justine was still pretending to be a revolutionary.
- Did you capture them? - one of the revolutionaries approached the random guy.
- No, they're innocent. Roby is the real enemy - the random guy confessed. This was met with a moment of sheer silence and confusion.
- Did you hit your head? - a revolutionary spoke up.
- Are you okay? Those Americans are definitely guilty - another one pointed out.
- They showed me a recording from the prison which clearly depicted Roby starting the fires and saying that he doesn't care about the colony - the random guy defended us.
- That could be fabricated! They brainwashed you! - the revolutionary clenched his fists.
- It looked and sounded genuine. I'll show you if you don't believe me - the random guy promised.
We fulfilled the promise by bringing the group to the communications centre, where the aforementioned recording was being replayed in an endless loop. The revolutionaries stood in front of the big screen for a while, contemplating their governor's true colors.
- Well that's a jerk - one of them commented.
- We cannot let him escape, as he's probably plotting something bigger - Dawn added.
- What are we waiting for? Let's beat that fraud up! - the random guy yelled at his men (and women). He was really loud, which was annoying, but it worked.
Soon, we gathered more revolutionaries, who were far easier to convince, because of the amount of people following the random guy and us, for that matter. The only exception was John Premium and his team, as they eventually came back to the outpost, dragging a fuming Captain Nigel with them. The sight was pretty comical from our perspective.
- I hate you - Captain Nigel glared at us with anger.
- We're only doing our job - Einstein replied.
- Why are you siding with those pesky agents? They're our enemies! - John Premium approached the random guy, seemingly ready to punch him out of sheer fury.
- They are not - the random guy didn't want to argue with John, which was understandable, because if there was one thing you should know about John Premium, it's that he loves arguing and complaining.
- They were framed by Roby, the true villain - Justine ensured.
While John didn't reply, it was clear that he also wanted to catch Roby, probably to complain about his "terrible" outpost.
- Okay, folks, we must capture that fraud named Robert, but I think I've already mentioned this! He can be anywhere, even outside of our lovely base! Let's split into several teams and search in different directions!!! - the random guy was yelling as loudly as possible. It's just his way of talking.
The revolutionaries were eager to fulfill his orders. However, John's group didn't want to bring Nigel with them.
- He should be with his team - John's wife tried to force Nigel into our group.
- No, I loathe them! They're tarnishing my reputation and authority! Let me stay with you! - Captain Nigel was almost begging to stay. Strangely enough, John and his wife listened and allowed him to be with them.
- What did he mean? - Justine asked us.
- I'm not sure, but I don't think that matters for the time being. We should focus on Roby, just like the others - Anthony replied.
We decided to go outside. If Roby actually left the base, he's probably still in Ius Chasma, so it shouldn't be that hard to find him, given that we're reasonably fast. Another group also chose to leave the outpost, raising our odds even more.
A neat side effect of revealing Roby's real identity was that all the groups now shared the same goal: finding and thwarting him. Big Donny led his former counterrevolutionaries to Roby's office, as Donny was one of the few people who knew something about this room.
Once we made it outside, we left the other group behind. We went west, while it chose to go east.
- Are we just going to walk around, hoping that Roby pops up out of nowhere? - Amber asked.
- No, we're taking the rover - Einstein denied.
We made our way to the vehicle and got into it. There was one problem though: there weren't enough hatches, because Justine joined us.
One of us had to stay outside. Amber volunteered to be that one, as she'll be ready for combat as soon as we notice an enemy. With that settled, we boarded the rover and set off. Amber clung to a metal bar on the roof as we got moving.
We were on alert, picking up all kinds of movement. Most of said movement was Martian dust being blown around. Only Sebastian had other things on his mind. He grabbed a ripe tomato and started eating.
- Is this the right time for a snack? - Anthony asked.
- I'm hungry and it's not like someone will appear anytime soon - Sebastain replied.
However, someone did appear, dressed in a familiar spacesuit. Amber dropped off the roof and engaged in battle.
- It's not Roby! The voice doesn't match! - Amber informed us through the radio.
- If there's an assassin, that means Roby is near. He probably ordered his men to protect him at all cost - Dawn mentioned.
Anthony left the rover to help Amber deal with the assassin. We wished to stay and see the outcome of the struggle, but with every second, Roby was getting further and further away and that's something we couldn't allow.
We were forced to drive away. It was about time to find Robert Rupert.
