鳴海弦，在小時候的聖誕夜裡失去了最愛的家人，總怪自己，害他的父母親喪命在那寒冷的聖誕夜裡。

在政府的幫忙下，住進了育幼院，在某一次的聖誕夜裡育幼院辦了活動，然而保科宗四郎看到鳴海弦蜷縮在牆角裡，在這聊天的過程中成為了最好的朋友。

但 好景不常的是，保科家族因軍事令被派遣到關西住鎮，保科宗四郎與鳴海弦互相交換信封與信物，用此信物快速找到對方。
