You are the light

Upon the water

You are the rainfall

To this parched daughter

You are the secret

That I keep hidden

You are rebellion

And love forbidden

And I can taste you

Inside my blood-soaked heart

But I can’t have you

We died before the start

But every story

Does have to end like this

I can only long for

Your sugared soft, sweet kiss

Be my executioner

Be my revolutionary

Other girls get saviours

All I want is secondary

Be my darkened psychopomp

Be my cop and judge and jury

When the jackboot does stop

I’ll understand the adversary

You are the truth

Your soul is sunlit

You gave me wisdom

When I’d been gaslit

You are the perfect

Just out of my reach

You're my true freedom

That they can’t unteach

And I can love you

You teach the truth of love

But I can’t have you

Thus was decreed above

And in my story

I’m not victorious

But I only long for

The masses to win this
