A brunette girl with grey eyes yelled and lunged at the boy taunting her. Strong arms grabbed her shoulders and she began to kick out. "Easy there kid." I said, full of confidence. I always was a fighter, though not a very good one. She turned around. She looked taken aback. "Don't punch him. I know he's an asshole through and through but be the better person. Besides, you do not wanna face the consequences of hitting him. It may feel good to hit him but don't. It doesn't play out well for us later." I said to her, almost mother-like in tone. She looked confused. To be expected, I guess. "U-us? What do you mean?" She asked. I realized how soft my voice was then compared to how unladylike it sounds now. "Time-space is complex, kid." I said simply. That was all I needed to know. "O-okay. Who are you?" The child spoke. Now I understand why people called me cute. I'm not cute now. I'm just weird. "I'm you. Or is it you're me. I can never remember it right. Anyway, we're the same person" Her eyes lit up in surprise."It's like in the game 'no time to explain'." I said, knowing she knew the game. "Anyway, kid I gotta go. Take care of yourself, okay?" She nodded and smiled. I returned the smile before putting my hands back in the pockets of my black hoodie and letting the vision fade away. She just looked at the boys before calmly taking her book from the boy she had been about to hit mere minutes before. He just stood there, mouth agape. "Shut your mouth.
