Nami pointed at it. “Oh you’ve GOT to be kidding me.”

A pause.

Nami groaned. “That sounds WORSE.”

Back in the arena—

Martok raised his bat’leth high.

“You are strong. But I did not perceive someone so small to strike so hard.”

Luffy grinned.

“I get that a lot.”

He inhaled.

The air around his arm darkened.

Steam and heat condensed into something sharper.

Franky leaned forward. “Ohhh… this is the heat one…”

Robin whispered, “Gear Third is coming.”

“GUM GUM—”

Luffy’s arm expanded rapidly, inflating like a cannon being forced beyond its limits.

“—RED HAWK!”

He vanished forward.

A flaming impact of pure speed and compressed force slammed into Martok’s defense.

The arena lit up.

Even the simulation grid flickered.

Janeway’s eyes widened slightly.

“…That level of output would rupture most Starfleet containment fields.”

Franky grinned. “Yeah. That’s our captain.”

Martok skidded back—but didn’t fall.

He straightened slowly.

Blood on his lip.

“You hit like a warrior.”

Luffy bounced back, grinning even wider. “You’re fun!”

Martok lifted his weapon again.

“But you rely on instinct.”

“And that’s the point.”

Martok charged again.

Luffy inhaled deeply.
