The dark water of the lake ripples, caused by my sock-less feet gliding along the cold liquid. My glassy eyes look at the Moon's bright body. My hair sways in the cool night breeze. My fingers grip the decaying wood of the old dock. I sniffle, my vision gradually becoming blurry.
The whispers of nature soak up the Moon's chilling rays, her gaze shining down on everything. She casts her spell to hypnotize the world into slumber. My thoughts wander despite the eye catching divinity of the peaceful cold light enveloping me.
I wonder, can the Moon's magical light one day guide me, one day rock me with her undying silver rays? One day, can the cold blanket of her craters burden themselves with me? Perhaps, just maybe, I could possibly preserve that desire, the lust of comfort and acceptance I have that is held in her crisp and freezing core.
Oh Moon, don't leave me in the inevitable golden light of tomorrow.
