They only see the shine and gold,

Not the nights when dreams grew cold,

The quiet tears that stained the sheet,

The battles lost beneath my feet.

They cheer the crown, not knowing pain,

The bruises hidden in the rain,

The doubt that whispered, “Let it go,”

The fire I kept when winds would blow.

Each triumph carved in silent hours,

Not just in talent, but unseen powers

The will to rise when all felt dead,

To silence fear that screamed ahead.

Calloused hands, a heavy soul,

A body worn, yet mind still whole,

The path to glory isn’t fame,

It’s grit and grind a burning flame.
