Page 1 — Introducing Talia
There was a girl named Talia. She was smart, kind, and always seemed to have a smile for everyone. But Talia’s kindness had limits — she stayed close to the popular kids and bullies, hiding her softer side. Quietly, she helped the students who were bullied, but only when no one was watching.

Then came a new girl named Monique. She was kind to everyone — smart, friendly, and humble. Like David to Saul, Monique’s goodness shone brighter and faster, capturing everyone’s hearts. Talia noticed the shift in attention and decided to “befriend” Monique… but secretly planned to stab her in the back.
Page 3 — A Friendship Built on Lies
Before long, Monique and Talia became the best of friends. They had sleepovers, ate lunch together, and shared God’s word. But Talia’s friends had more influence on her than Monique realized. The kind girl everyone knew was fading, replaced by someone playing a dangerous game. Talia only showed her “good side” to Monique, while secretly plotting with her fellow nullies to hurt her. Poor Monique had no idea.
Page 4 — The Rumors Begin
Monique started hearing rumors about her “friend” Talia. She only had Talia as a friend and didn’t want to lose her. “How can the only girl who’s been kind to me backbite me?” she wondered. Monique feared becoming the next big topic at school — she had already left her old school because of bullying and didn’t want to face that pain again. Torn between planning revenge or praying for help, she remembered what her grandma once told her:
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.” — Matthew 7:7
Page 5 — The Temptation to Fight Back
Monique finally had proof of Talia’s plan to embarrass her in front of the whole school. It hurt deeply to see how “kind” Talia acted while secretly plotting with her friends. Monique found a new friend, Rachel, who wasn’t popular but treated her better than Talia ever did. Some of Rachel’s friends urged Monique to embarrass Talia first, but Monique refused. She said, “God will handle this.” The temptation to strike back was strong, but Monique chose faith over revenge. Little did she know, guardian angels smiled at her choice.
Page 6 — The Birthday Betrayal
Monique’s birthday was coming up. Unaware of Talia’s true colors, she didn’t suspect the party planned in her honor. But Talia and her “nullies” had a cruel plan — they bugged the place, poisoned the food, and put paint in the punch. Hour after hour, guests grew sick and vomited. Whispers and harsh words filled the air: “You poisoned us,” “No one will be your friend now,” “You’re the worst.” Monique cried bitterly, feeling utterly alone.
But Rachel never left her side. “If you’re not an angel, you’re very special to God,” Monique said. “You’re a very good friend.”
Still, Monique wondered, “Everyone hates me now… what do I do?”
Rachel smiled and said, “Do what you’ve always done—pray.”
Guardian angels smiled wide, while demon angels scowled in defeat.
Page 7 — Standing Strong with Forgiveness
It was time to go back to school. Monique still wrestled with whether to get revenge or show kindness. Rachel stayed by her side, reminding her to always trust God.
Talia and her friends laughed, sneering, “You’re pathetic! You stole my fame and friends. This is what you deserve. Did you really think I was your friend?”
Monique stood tall and said, “I know what you did, Talia. I could plot against you, but you need help, not hate. I won’t backbite or turn your friends against you. I pray God teaches you to seek Him and love Him — only He can help you. You were my only friend,” she said through tears, “and you used that against me. But Rachel showed me the love I needed, caring for me through the hardest times. I hope you learn someday.”
Rachel smiled, guardian angels glowed bright, and I’m sure God smiled too.
Page 8 — Justice, Forgiveness, and New Beginnings
Talia didn’t realize her actions were serious enough to land her in trouble. Because she was over sixteen, she faced the law and went to prison.
Monique could have felt happy, but instead, she prayed for Talia. Rachel stayed by her side, always kind and encouraging.
Sometimes, you might feel like hurting or betraying your friends. But remember Monique and Rachel — they chose kindness and faith. God loves them all.
Monique and Rachel finished high school together, graduated college, and today they’re two of the most successful lawyers in the state.
May their story inspire you to choose faith, forgiveness, and friendship.
