…I’m walking down a familiar hallway lined with blue lockers and buzzing overhead lights. I can hear my feet clapping against the cold floor, my pace slow. I pass doors with numbers above them, my gaze unwavering from the black void in front of me that seems to go on forever. I keep walking, my body with a mind of its own. I’m calm, unbothered.
…Suddenly, I hear larger steps behind me, but I’m unable to look behind me. I feel paralyzed, only able to keeping moving forward. My brain is racing, telling me to look who’s behind me.
The steps grow quicker, louder, closer.
I can’t run, can’t quicken my pace, can’t hide. I panic, feeling utterly hopeless.
But suddenly, I’m not scared anymore. I stop in my tracks, feeling an overwhelming sense of— bliss? What was I feeling right now? Then, I feel a hand hold mine. A very familiar voice speaks to me, their warm breath brushing my ear softly. “I’ll never love you, you’ll never be good enough for me.”
My eyes widen, what is going on? I turn my head to see Katsuki Bakugo smiling at me, still holding my hand. His ruby eyes bore into my emerald, and I am in absolute confusion. I can’t reply, my mouth unable to open—but my thought process is interrupted by Kacchan’s figure melting away, turning into a skeleton. His flesh creating a pool of liquid at the bottom of his feet, and I stumble back, petrified.
…
wake up.
…
I awake with a cold sweat, my green curls sticking to my forehead,
gasping. for. air.
