Spring is finally here. Everyone enjoys their new year with their family and beloved one. After YN's grandma passed away, Caleb is busy in SkyHaven, YN can only spend her times alone. These days, as a hunter, she is so busy taking care of Linkon city, killing wanderer which keeps appearing anywhere randomly. She is in the office right now, sitting in his desk, eyes staring on the pc screen in front of her. Tara her best friend is coming behind her.
"Hey YN~ Tomorrow is New Year holiday, how you gonna spend it?" Ask Tara.
"Since grandma not here anymore, I guess I'm gonna keep busying myself, protecting Linkon city from wanderers." Said YN.
"No way! YN, it's holiday!! You should take a day off! You already work so hard this past month." Said Tara.
"Well, even though I take a holiday, I don't have anyone to spend my holiday with. So, it's gonna be like usual day I spend." Said YN.
"Oh... YN.. I feel bad for you... If you insist like that, I cannot stop you.." Said Tara, hugging YN.
"It's okay Tara, takes your day off, will see you again after the holiday ends." Said YN, hugging back Tara. Afterwards, Tara leaves the office.
Nobody to spend the New Year with, so maybe it's time for her to keep the city clean from wanderer, that what she thought at the moment. While her mind still in thought, her alarm in her watch is ringing. Today is her checkup day in the hospital, which means she have to meet with Dr. Zayne again today. She quickly cleans her stuff in her desk and leave the office.
After arrived in the hospital for about 15 minutes walk from the office, YN walk to Zayne's working office. She knocks the door, but there is no reply from Zayne. She opens the door and there she saw the room is empty. She ends up wait in the sofa and fall asleep. Actually it's a tiring day for YN, that's why she quickly fall asleep on the sofa after resting her body for awhile. In other side, Zayne is still busy operates a surgery for his patient. He is known for his God hands that can save people from death. An hour later he is back to his office. While he opens the door, he saw YN is sleeping on the couch. He walks to the drawers, taking out a blanket and put it on her. He caress her hair, and back to his desk, continuing his job, not bothering to wake her up.
Few minutes later, YN awake, a little bit confused, why there is a blanket on her body, and when she looks at the other side, Zayne is on his desk, looks like he is writing something on the paper, with a laptop in front of him.
"You finally awake.." Said Zayne from his desk, his eyes still focus staring on his paper.
"Mhm.. I feel so tired.. I fall asleep on your couch, I'm sorry.." Said YN.
"Since you're awake, let's have your monthly checkup routine now.." Said Zayne.
"Alright.." Said YN.
YN, walk to the checkup bed and sit there. Zayne coming closer with his doctor equipment. First Zayne is using his stethoscope to check her heart beat, then he took the blood pressure equipment to check her blood pressure.
"How are you doing this past few days?" Ask Zayne.
"Doing normal, I take my medicine daily.." Said YN.
"Did you overwork yourself?" Ask Zayne.
".... I, well I work harder these days so I can forget some memories.." Said YN.
"Alright, no wonder your checkup results today is getting worsen.." Said Zayne.
"I'm sorry.." Said YN.
"I will create a stronger medicine prescription for you.." Said Zayne.
"Thanks.." Said YN.
"Sorry for asking, but how you gonna spend your new year this holiday?" Ask Zayne.
"Fighting with wanderers I guess? Idk.. I don't have any appointment since grandma has already pass away..." Said YN.
"You can spend your holiday with me and my family. I'm thinking to go back to my hometown." Said Zayne.
"Um.. If it's because you feel bad for me because I still have to works on my days off, I have to refuse your invitation, Zayne. I don't like if someone feel bad for me, I will cope up with the grief in my own way..." Said YN.
"No. I'm inviting you because.... I wrong click two tickets for my flight just now." Said Zayne.
"If that's the case, then, alright... I'll join you." Said YN.
"Great, I will send the flight schedule to your phone." Said Zayne.
"Once again, thank you Dr. Zayne." Said YN, bid a goodbye and leave the hospital.
Well for Zayne it's not a wrong click, he really bought another ticket to help YN feeling a little bit better and forget her grief towards her grandma. Because her condition keep worsening since her grandma died. Moreover, her grandma already told Zayne to take care of YN, back then when she is still alive. So, probably going out to his hometown can relax her a little bit, even if it is just a little bit, as long as she is okay.
Two days later the two of them already in a plane. YN sitting beside the window, while Zayne besides her. Of course, it's also a business class plane. Money is not a problem for Dr. Zayne who is a cardiac surgeon. A stewardess walk to their seats.
"Mr and Mrs, do you need anything?" Ask the stewardess.
"Can I ask for the menu?" Ask Zayne.
"Sure, here you go." Said the stewardess, handing the menu from her hands for Zayne and YN.
"2 macarons, 2 donuts, 2 lemon cake.. Anything you want to order, YN?" Ask Zayne.
"Zayne, you sure ordering those only? I will order a Lasagna." Said YN.
"Mhm, just order what you likes." Said Zayne.
"Alright. How about the beverages?" Ask the stewardess.
"Lemon tea for me." Said YN.
"Affogato for me." Said Zayne.
"Alright, please wait for the food to come." Said the stewardess, and she leave.
They are in the plane for like 6 hours. After arriving at the city, they still need to drive with the taxi for like 1 hour. When they finally arrive in Zayne's place, his parent greet them.
"Hi, mister and madam.. I'm YN, Zayne's friend~" Greet YN to Zayne's family.
"Oh you must be YN! Zayne tell me a lot about you~!" Said Zayne's mom.
"You are so pretty like the picture he sent to us~" Said Zayne's dad.
"Oh, mom, dad, please.." Said Zayne.
"We already prepare the room for you two, go check it out~" Said Zayne's mom.
"We gonna prepare for the dinner, you guys can enjoy the city first~" Said Zayne's dad.
"Alright, thankyou~" Said YN.
The two of them go their own room, side by side. After Zayne finish putting his luggage, he went to check YN in her room.
"There will be a firework festival at 10pm in the townhall, should we go there together after the dinner?" Ask Zayne.
"Mhm, sure, it must be so pretty." Said YN.
"Do you like the room?" Ask Zayne.
"It's pretty~ I love the balcony, it has a beautiful view of the sky~" Said YN.
The two of them standing in the balcony side by side.
"And other things, the balcony is connected with my balcony too." Said Zayne.
"Which means, we can see the stars together at night~?" Said YN, smiling.
"Yes. I think I also ask my mom and dad, to bought some fireworks, so we can play it here from the balcony." Said Zayne.
"Thankyou Zayne~" Said YN, hugging Zayne.
"No worries." Said Zayne, hugging her back, caressing her hair.
For Zayne, as long as he can see YN smiling again, everything is alright.
After finished looking around and put their luggage, Zayne bring her to walk around the town for awhile. The two of them walking around the town, hanging out in the street. There are a lot of people in the street selling food and stuff. They found a seller selling festival masks.
"Hey, look at that Zayne, it's cute!" Said YN, pointing at a rabbit mask.
"You want it?" Ask Zayne.
The rabbit mask only hides the eyes of the user. There many types of mask, a tiger, a fox, a dog, a deer, a panda etc.
Zayne take out the rabbit mask and put it on YN caferully.
"It suits you." Said Zayne, smiling at YN.
YN also pick something from the table, a fox mask. She put it on Zayne.
"It also looks cute on you." Said YN, smiling.
"We bought these two." Said Zayne to the seller, he paid for it. Afterwards they wear it while walking around the town. They try some street food, saw some street performance, and play some festival games in the street. When the clock already pointing at 6pm, the two of them finally go back home.
When they arrive at home, his parent greet them again.
"You both already back? That's so quick." Said Zayne's mom.
"We already hanging around for like 2 hours, mom." Said his mom.
"Now clean yourself the dinner is ready soon." Said his dad.
"Alright. Thankyou uncle and auntie~." Said YN.
The two of them went back to their own room to take a bath. Each room got a bathroom of their own. After finish the two of them having a family dinner together. They talk a lot of things, Zayne parent also tell the story when Zayne still kids. Their dinner fill with love, laughter, joy and smile. That's what Zayne wants it. He knows YN grows up in a warm family, but since her grandma leaves her, he knows she becomes lonely. That's why Zayne invite her to come to his hometown, meeting with his parent, to show her that there is still a warm and peaceful place for her. A place she can share her laughter, happiness, even sad times and moments. After finishing the dinner Zayne and YN help with the dishes.
"Thankyou Zayne." Said YN.
"For..?" Ask Zayne.
"The happiness that you shared with me today." Said YN.
"It's my pleasure. As long as you are happy. " Said Zayne.
Right after doing the dishes the two of them go out to watch the fireworks festival in the townhall. The two of them wearing the mask that they bought before. The townhall itself are full of peoples. They are all waiting for the firework to appear.
"Stay close to me so you won't get lost." Said Zayne, embracing YN with his right arm.
YN smiling. She felt loved and cared. She is so happy to have Zayne as her doctor and at the same her friend, or more than that?
The firework finally blasting out on the night sky. Its very beautiful and colorful.
"I'm praying that I can spend another year like this.." Said YN.
Zayne look at her with a smile.
"This place will always welcomes you, even if I'm not by your side anymore.." Said Zayne.
YN shakes her head.
"Wherever I go, whether it's this place, Linkon, N109 zone, or Sky Haven, I want it to be with you.." Said YN.
"And.. Why is that?" Ask Zayne.
"Because it doesn't feels right if it's without you or if it's not you." Said YN.
Zayne is smiling while looking at the night sky.
Another fireworks blasting again on the night sky. YN pull his collar, and kiss his cheek. Zayne embrace her tightly, while he caressing her hair. Maybe it's his best fireworks festival ever.
After finish watching fireworks festival they go back home. It's already 12AM. His parent already asleep on their room. Meanwhile after arriving at home the two of them taking a bath and wear their pajamas. Zayne is already waiting on the balcony of his room. There is a box of sparkler firework in his hand. Soon YN coming out to the balcony. The two of them standing side by side by the rail while looking at the night sky filled with many stars.
"What's in your hand?" Ask YN.
"A sparkler. Let's turn it on." Said Zayne.
Zayne turn it on, while YN only saw it and stand beside Zayne. She is appreciating the beautiful light that sparks from the sparkle fireworks.
"It's so beautiful.." Said YN.
"Yes, it is." Said YN.
"Glad we are on the same page again." Said YN, teasing.
"I think it's as beautiful as you. A person that light my world.." Said Zayne.
"I love spring now. Because I can spend it with you and the beautiful fireworks." Said YN.
The sparkle is running out. The light slowly lost its sparks. Zayne pushing his face closer to her face. The two of them start kissing. A kiss with a taste of Spring...
"Thankyou for existing Zayne." Said YN, she put her palm on his cheek.
"And thankyou for being by my side, YN." Said Zayne.
The two of them watch the sky full of stars, while sink deeply into each other's embrace, in the spring fireworks..
