Right as she said that, everyone got into position. Silence followed. Gwendolen loaded her Garand one last time, as she had only one bullet left. Suddenly, a long, silver beak smashed open the glass, and in the Snallygaster's head came in. Its silver beak, covered in blood and gore, still shined in the moonlight. An eyeball dangled from its beak and fell to the ground when it entered. It stamped inside, and looked around. It saw Gwendolen, and stared at her. Gwendolen ran. Her footsteps echoed in the large building as the Snallygaster charged after her. When she got halfway up the stairs, she shot her Garand, and it missed. However, it distracted the Snallygaster for a split second, so she had enough time to continue going up the stairs. The Snallygaster unfurled its wings yet again and jumped up, almost flying up all the stairs and landing right behind Gwendolen. Gwendolen got to the top of the stairs and ran to the nearest vat, with the Snallygaster in close pursuit.
