Dialogue is an important part of a story, so how is it structured? This is a serious question, when I write, I add a lot of extra movements to my characters and make sure that the reader is clear who is speaking. Also, the turn for turn speaking doesn't always work for me. The; "Yes, she did" he said.312Please respect copyright.PENANAjcZHXi2RhD
"No, he did" she said.312Please respect copyright.PENANAMUA2lZ77Vd
"I'm telling you it was her!"312Please respect copyright.PENANA7CXvGjiyV4
"And I'm telling you it was him!"312Please respect copyright.PENANAUMuEJnPj2j
"I saw her"312Please respect copyright.PENANAPdFPGLp4Ih
makes me confused. 312Please respect copyright.PENANA3OBCj7qebq
So I try making it clear as possible while also adding movements; 312Please respect copyright.PENANA4xiZaFyQPs
"Yes, she did" he said.312Please respect copyright.PENANA9HmerMyBtJ
"No, he did" she replies.312Please respect copyright.PENANAWnctjhbsuG
"I'm telling you it was her!" he says with eyes of fury.312Please respect copyright.PENANAXZ3iaJYnzN
"And I'm telling you it was him" she claps back.312Please respect copyright.PENANAWcMn4bRSMu
He backs up slowly, "I saw her"312Please respect copyright.PENANAMlFlwduPdt
Also, what do you guys do when one person talks more than the other?312Please respect copyright.PENANAlTkSNnt7id
Eg. "You saw her?" she asks.312Please respect copyright.PENANApCXlS82Dbj
"Yes, over at Cambridge. I also overheard the plan"312Please respect copyright.PENANApXIYT92ttM
She contemplates and steadies her gaze, then he continues, "You were meant to think it was him, we all were"312Please respect copyright.PENANAuinoCRr0B8
Nevermind my wording, what do you think? How do you structure a dialogue when one speaks more than the other?312Please respect copyright.PENANAsZ1rppg9Uv
