So, I have this thing.
Imagine if James and Lily had lived. They decide to take Harry to the zoo one day, June 23, 1991. After they have lunch, during which a very annoying child cried that his Knickerbocker Glory didn't have enough cream on it, they go to the reptile room. Harry finds this giant Boa Constrictor, and he's just talking to it, because Harry can talk to snakes, whatever. Then the annoying kid from lunch sees what the snake is doing, and punches Harry in the ribs. Harry falls over, and as he glares angrily at the boy, the glass vanishes. The boy falls into the cage, and then the glass comes back. The boy's mother and father scream and panic, while James is laughing his head off, and Lily is yelling at Harry. Once James calms down, he catches sight of the boy's father. They just stare at each other, all like, 'i swear I know you," while the mother's are still panicking. Finally, they all calm down and look at each other, and Lily and Petunia just stare at each other, like, 'how on earth did we manage to coordinate this.' Harry's just like, 'this is cousin dunderhead?" And Petunia goes, "you told your son my son's name is dunderhead?" And Lily's like, "no, I told him it was Dudley. James told him it was dunderhead." And then they're all just glaring at each other, and then they just leave.
And then, years later, Harry's taking his own kids to Platform 9 3/4, Dudley is standing on the platform, taking his own daughter to Hogwarts.
