Gold slows himself down before making a tactical retreat to give himself time to recover from the decay. Flies back and surfs on the energy of a nearby star before jumping away. He finds his balance and senses Reverb beside him. Reverb dodges Gold's attempt at a palm strike as he counters with a fist to his mouth. He then follows it up by two strikes to his heart. Gold parries him and intends to fire a blast to get him away so he can recover. Reverb doesn’t give him the chance as he lets out a massive explosion of energy sending Gold through a star. Reverbs energy decays the star until it transforms into a supernova. Gold moves through the supernova with his energy acting as a barrier against it. They clash countless times in the supernova with each clash summoning more and more energy; but one of them must reach their limit. Gold slams into Reverb intending to drag him into the heart of the supernova. Reverb uses his decay to weaken Gold and forces them both to spiral out of control. Eventually Gold's cybernetics start to crack from the rapid energy overload. He’s starting to lose his backup reserves of energy as his cybernetics fail to convert it all. Reverb flies forward launching a barrage of punches and kicks at Gold, He intends to overwhelm him until he cannot fight any more. Gold makes his own opening as he focuses energy in his eyes and blasts Reverb away with energy focused through his pupils. He jumps out of the supernova and sees creatures surrounding it. Reverb rises out of the intense supernova and uses his energy as whips lash out of him. They decay the creatures around him as he launches himself into Gold. Gold sighs a breath of relief with there being no trace of Reverb surviving. To Litzo’s right, waddled Orio, radiating endless dark energy and dawning a purple and crimson headband tied around his head, a nod to the ones he lost. With his nubs clenched in readiness, his spirit burned nuclear; bright as the sun itself.
Litzo’s gears whined louder, then screamed as she rocketed forward, blasting through the specters with a burst of force. Dust kicked up in her wake, obscuring the scene—until suddenly, something inside her shifted. A corrupted memory file blinked red across Litzo’s systems, then clicked into place.
