How can one know?
We do not have the eyes of future, only the present and past.
Tomorrow crawls through the dreary long hours into today and I see no difference. Everything's the same. Mirroring the words and actions of those around me.
Is it a lie that the people choose to believe? Tomorrow will be a better day.
How can they rely so greatly on lie? Are they blinded or am I overseeing something important? Will that better tomorrow ever come?
Just like my beloved said as she lay dying in my arms. She knew my life was hard before I met her and it will be harder when she's gone. She was right.
Why? What did I do to deserve this? I can't even shed tears. I'm all dried up from the harshness before and now. I know I'm growing bitter and cold by day yet what else can I do? The love of my life is gone and there is no one to turn to or even trust.
So how can a stranger comfort me by telling that tomorrow will be a better day?
