Lily, Tikki and Trixx along with the other Kwamis are watching a talk show that is being hosted by Nadja Chamack called Face To Face on TV 5 on Lily's laptop.
"Tonight, for our first edition of Face To Face, you'll have the opportunity of a lifetime-the chance to talk live with Lady Scarlet and Cat Noir. Along with me, Nadja Chamack. We'll be revealing some sizzling hot information about your favorite superheroes. Don't be bemused, it's just the news."
"Sizzling hot revelations?" Febbo tilts his head.
"Yeah, Febbo. Can you believe it? An entire hour-long special about me and Cat Noir. Pretty exciting, huh?" Lily smiled at the Kwamis.
Tikki flies around her owner. "Lily, you're a superhero, not a star. You have to remain a mystery to protect yourself from Hawk Moth and his supervillains."
"I know, Tikki. Cat and I had a talk about this if we ever asked for an interview, we keep personal things out and assure everyone that we'll handle Hawk Moth and his Akumas." Lily stated.
"Something tells me that Akuma will appear tonight." Luna commented.
Lily let out a sigh, "You're right, Luna. If we change a few things, we might avoid it. But if Nadja does get Akumatized, Cat Noir and I will handle it." She admitted.
"Let's just hope that we can prevent it." Amber prayed.
"Me too, Amber. Me too." Lily agreed.
"Just be careful tonight, okay?" Tikki warned.
"We will." Lily assured her.
"Don't forget, tonight. Face To Face, live with Lady Scarlet and Cat Noir." Nadja reminded from the laptop.
TVi Studio
Nadja Chamack and the staff are getting ready. The woman eats a chouquette.
"We're on air in 10 and still no cat or bug in sight. You sure you have this in control, Nadja?" Arlette asked through Nadja's earpiece.
Yes, Arlette. I got this, as promised. Biggest audience of the year!" Nadja responded.
"Well let's hope so, if you want to keep this show prime time in the future." Arlette said.
Nadja sighs after looking at the empty couch opposite her, where Lady Scarlet and Cat Noir are supposed to be. She checks her tablet and almost drops it out of shock after Lady Scarlet and Cat Noir suddenly appeared.
"Which way did you come in?" Nadja asked.
"We have our ways," Lady Scarlet smirked as Cat Noir gulped down a drink.
"Well, thank goodness you both arrived together," Nadja holds a hand to her chest.
Cat Noir leans closer to the woman. "Wanna hear a secret?"
Nadja nodded. "M-hm."
"I love chouquettes." He popped a chouquette in his mouth, causing Lady Scarlet to giggle.
"Is that the sizzling hot information I've been promised?" Arlette queried rudely through Nadja's earpiece.
"No, of course not," Nadja denied.
"Well, you know the rules. Primetime, prime info. No info, no more show!"
"Going live in ten, nine..." The staff counted down.
"Five, four, three, two, one," Arlette finished the countdown.
Nadja gripped her tablet nervously.
"Well, now, I'm counting on you to boost those ratings sky high. Make that red turn green."
Nadja looks at her smartwatch, hoping for her ratings to increase.
People in Paris, such as the Césaire residence, Chloé Bourgeois, Sabrina Raincomprix, the mayor, Gabriel Agreste, and civilians are watching the live broadcast.
"Good evening. I'm Nadja Chamack and this is Face To Face. For our first edition, I welcome the beloved guardians of Paris, Lady Scarlet, and Cat Noir." Nadja gestured to the Miraculous duo.
The superheroes wave toward the camera and the audience.
"Hello, thanks so much for accepting this exclusive live interview." Nadja voiced.
"Thank you, Nadja. We're honored to be here." Lady Scarlet said.
"And hello to all my fans." Cat Noir blows a kiss and winks toward the camera.
"I'm sure thousands have tuned in to watch you tonight." Nadja says to Cat Noir.
Lady Scarlet chuckled. "Don't encourage him, Nadja, or the cat won't stop purring all night."
"Don't listen to her, Bugaboo's just a spot jealous," Cat Noir said, making a small size with his fingers.
"Hey, I thought we agreed on no more Bugaboo calling," Lady Scarlet jingles the black cat's bell as he chuckled. "Kitten Noir."
"But it's so cute!" Cat Noir chuckled.
Nadja looks at her smartwatch and notices the ratings have slightly increased. She then giggles to calm her nervousness. "It's obvious you two are very close," She uttered to Cat Noir and Lady Scarlet.
"Yes, we are." Lady Scarlet confirmed.
"People know you, but they don't really know you. We see you saving Paris, but we don't know anything else about you." Nadja pronounced.
"We won't be keeping anything from you tonight, Nadja." Cat Noir promised.
"Well, we do have to keep a few secrets," Lady Scarlet quipped. "Like our identities."
Nadja sees that the ratings are frequently increasing on her smartwatch. "Absolutely! How about we start a few questions from your biggest fans?"
"Yup, let's do it." The duo said in unison as they high fived.
Nadja swipes an automatic remote control from her tablet, which is connected to the vast monitor display, revealing a community call from Chloé from her room. "Hello, caller."
Chloé waves at the audience from the monitor display.
"State your name and question." Nadja said.
"Err, seriously Nadja? Surely, no one would be the first caller but me. I'm only the most prestigious fan of Lady Scarlet." Chloé remarked.
This makes Lady Scarlet smile.
"Oh yes, of course. Hello there, Chloé Bourgeois. Daughter of the mayor of Paris." Nadja says the fashionista's title. "Now, what is your question, Chloé?"
The blonde brat winked. "Oh, I don't have a question. I just wanted to say hi, since as you all know, we're such very good friends, Lady Scarlet, Cat Noir and I!"
Lady Scarlet smiles as she and Cat Noir waves at Chloé.
Nadja notices that the ratings of her show are slightly decreasing. "Uh, thank you, Chloé Bourgeois, next caller," She disconnected the call between her and Chloé and moved on to the next caller, who was Sabrina.
"Hey Nadja, I'm Sabrina." Sabrina greeted as she waved at the audience.
"Hello, what's your question?" Nadja asked.
"I was just wondering if Lady Scarlet and Cat Noir could give me a full interview tomorrow night at 7." Sabrina requested.
Sabrina had been doing a blog about the Miraculous duo since they'd first appeared. The blog was called Miraculous Dispatch. It was becoming quite popular since it involved the Miraculous duo. It was also the reason how Chloé and Sabrina found out about Lily's hero identity. Sabrina still continues to film their fights with Akuma from a safe distance.
{A/N: Sorry if I hadn't mentioned this fact in the first book. I thought it would be cool if Sabrina made a tribute to both heroes through a blog.}
Lady Scarlet and Cat Noir glanced at each other and turned back to Sabrina.
"We would be honored." Lady Scarlet and Cat Noir answered in unison.
"Thank you, thank you!" Sabrina thanked excitedly.
"Alright, onto the next caller." Nadja disconnects the call and moves on to the next caller, Alya.
"Hi there, Lady Scarlet and Cat Noir," Alya greeted. "I'm Alya and I was wondering if you can grab me an interview for the Ladyblog. You know, since I have way more viewers than Nadja! However, Sabrina has a bit more than me."
Nadja gasps upon hearing that.
"What do you say?" Alya inquired.
"Sure, but we have an interview with Sabrina first. Also, Cat Noir must be included in the interview," Lady Scarlet accepted and turned to Cat Noir, "Cat, you'll join me?"
"Oh yeah, I can totally do that." Cat Noir nods.
"That totally rocks! Thank you, thank you!" Alya thanked excitedly.
Suddenly, Manon popped up on the screen. "I'm on TV?" She spots her mother. "Mommy!"
"Manon? But, where's Marinette?" Nadja asked.
"She had to go to the bathroom." Manon replied.
Just then Marinette rushed into the room from behind Alya and Manon. "Whoa!" She tripped before scrambling up and making her way next to Alya.
"Uh, hi Nadja!" The bluenette waved at the screen with an awkward smile.
Lady Scarlet and Cat Noir roll their eyes.
"What's going on, Nadja? Is this some kind of joke? Just get to the scoop, now!" Arlette demanded from the woman's earpiece.
Nadja disconnects the live call between her, Alya, Manon, and Marinette.
"Uh, Lady Scarlet, Cat Noir, um, so a lot of fans think of you as a couple of superheroes. But also, and I quote unquote, as a couple. Period." Nadja revealed.
Lady Scarlet and Cat Noir's eyes widened. "What?!"
"Can you confirm that you're dating here, tonight?" Nadja asked.
"Uh... look, Nadja, Cat Noir and I's relationship is professional. Sure, we flirt with each other often, but it doesn't go far beyond that. Our relationship is just flirty and friendly. We're not dating and we only love each other like partners." Lady Scarlet explains.
Before she and Cat Noir arrived at the studio, Lady Scarlet brought up this fact. She believed that Hawk Moth might be watching the show in his civilian form and if he found out that the two were in love, he might use that fact against them. Cat Noir promised that he wouldn't try to cause any drama. Lady Scarlet also brought up that someone might have taken a picture of their kiss on Valentine's Day. Cat Noir was surprised at that fact and asked why. She simply told him when he was hit by Dark Cupid's arrow, and he was trying to harm her. So she kissed him in order to break the hate spell on him. Cat Noir was surprised that he was kissed by her and but ultimately was disappointed that he didn't remember it.
"You told me you had an inside scoop." Arlette said through Nadja's earpiece.
"Fine. How do you explain these photographs then?" Nadja brings up an image of Lady Scarlet and Cat Noir kissing on Valentine's Day.
"That really happened?!" Cat Noir exclaimed and turned to Lady Scarlet.
Lady Scarlet nodded, "Yeah. Sorry that it was to break the spell." She apologized.
"It's okay. Though I wished I remembered it." Cat Noir assured and muttered the last part.
Meanwhile, Nadja saw that the ratings were increasing on her watch.
"Good job, keep that up!" Arlette urged from Nadja's earpiece.
Nadja, delighted with the ratings, displays various "romantic" images of Lady Scarlet and Cat Noir on the monitor display.
Lady Scarlet and Cat Noir are in disbelief upon looking at the images.
"It's so obvious that you're both in love." Nadja said to the heroes.
Lady Scarlet stood up. "These are just a bunch of photos taken out of context. We're only doing our job. We save the city every day; we're not a couple." She declared firmly.
"Why won't you tell the truth?" Nadja queried, standing up.
"But it is the truth Nadja." Lady Scarlet avowed.
"C'mon, the audience awaits your answer." Nadja says.
"Okay, that's it. I respect your work Nadja, but you're being incredibly unprofessional. Let's go, kitty." Lady Scarlet grabs Cat Noir's arm.
"Woah, what's the rush?" Cat Noir asked.
"There is none. This interview is unprofessional and over." Lady Scarlet pulled Cat Noir up and started dragging him towards the doors.
"Don't let them leave!" Arlette shouts from Nadja's earpiece.
"Hey, wait, the show is not over yet. Your fans will be disappointed if they don't get an answer!" Nadja called after the hero pair.
"If they're true fans, they'll understand," Lady Scarlet said, walking away.
"The lady's right." Cat Noir bowed before the doors closed.
"Well, say "bye-bye," Nadja. This is officially your first and last primetime show." Arlette walks off as the lights in the studio turned off.
Hawk Moth's Lair
Hawk Moth's window opens.
"A journalist ridiculed by Lady Scarlet and Cat Noir. Now that's the perfect prey." Hawk Moth turns a butterfly into an Akuma. "Fly away, my little akuma, and evilize her!"
The Akuma leaves the lair and flies above Paris.
TVi Studio
Nadja continues crying.
Just before the Akuma was about to touch the watch. A yo-yo caught it which caused Nadja to yelp in shock. She turned to where it came from and saw the Miraculous duo.
"Gotcha!" Lady Scarlet smiled and opened her yo-yo, releasing the purified Akuma, "So long, butterfly." Then she opened her yo-yo again and took out a magical charm. It was painted red with five pink spots outlined in a light blue color.
Lady Scarlet and Cat Noir walked over to Nadja. Lady Scarlet held her hand out to Nadja. She took her hand and helped her to her feet.
"Thank you, Lady Scarlet." Nadja thanked her.
"You're welcome, Nadja." Lady Scarlet smiled, and her smile dropped, "I'm sorry how we behaved before. If Hawk Moth found out if we were in love, he used that against us. When you started asking personal questions, it became too much for us."
Nadja let out a sigh, "I'm sorry too. I was just so desperate to save my career. It's over now." She admitted, slumped.
Lady Scarlet gently took Nadja's hand and placed the charm in it, "It's not over yet."
"What do you mean?" Nadja asked, confused.
"I got an idea." Lady Scarlet beamed.
TVi Studio - Later
"Don't be bemused, it's just the news! Hi, I'm Nadja Chamack, and this is Side by Side. Today, I'm joined by Alya Césiare and Sabrina Raincomprix, who created the Ladyblog and the Miraculous Dispatch! Together, we'll be looking back over Lady Scarlet and Cat Noir's greatest feats." Nadja announced.
"Your ratings are really high, Nadja! Great job, you've earned this prime-time show!" Arlette praised through Nadja's earpiece.
"Hello, Nadja! Hey fans! So, first of all, I have to set the record straight. Lady Scarlet and Cat Noir are not a couple!" Alya laughed.
"Sorry to break the news, everyone." Sabrina added.
Rossi Residence - Lily's Room
Lily and Adrien are watching Alya and Sabrina's interview on her Miraculous Dispatch on her phone.
"I mean, I think we all agree that they're a pretty dynamic duo, but I think they'll stay as professional partners in crime for a while." Sabrina says on the screen.
"This is amazing, Lily, now everyone's gonna know about Sabrina's blog!" Adrien smiled.
"I still think it will become even more popular than Alya's who only features Lady Scarlet." Lily commented.
"Actually, I prefer Sabrina's blog over Alya's. It has Miraculous duo." Trixx added.
"Indeed." Tikki agreed.
"Yeah. Cat Noir deserves some love." Plagg commented dramatically.
Lily and Adrien glanced at each other and smiled. They knew that Plagg could be so dramatic most of the time.
"Adrien, Lily, Tikki, Trixx, Plagg, dinner is ready!" May's voice shouts from the kitchen.
"I'm so glad you came over to have dinner with us, Adrien." Lily smiles at her boyfriend, getting up with him.
"Yeah, father was a little lenient today," Adrien smiles, getting up. "I always love your mom's cooking, so I couldn't pass up this opportunity."
Lily giggles. "Of course, you wouldn't."
The two and the Kwamis then walk out of the living room to go eat dinner.
