There was a huge villa that seemed like a mix between a palace, hotel, and pagoda.
It was like a community where the two generations of the family, about twenty people, lived together. Also, there were male and female maids. Some were young and some were old; they were the house servants for many years.
The outsiders could visit the house, the whole house, except a room, and before the sun set, they had to leave.
Why?
Because after the sunset, sons and daughters would take the coffin of their mother, which was buried in that room, out, then open it and say some kind of inviting words like, “This is evening. May Mother receive respect from your children and grandchildren. Please get up and have a fun walk.” Then someone would strike the bell before the room to inform everyone. After hearing the bell, immediately the babysitters had to tell the kids to stop playing and pay respect to their grandmother ghost by sitting on chairs, making their faces low, putting palms together in a form of greeting, closing eyes, and staying quiet. For the maids, they paused their tasks and knelt down. Later on, the mother/grandmother ghost would come out of the coffin in the form of smoke flying around the house. It took about three minutes to finish the visit.
If you were a visitor and you stayed late in that house, you had to do the same as the grandchildren did. However, when the ghost lady flew past you, she would notice a new face and she would stop her journey and come to you. She didn't mean to scare you, but she thought you were her family member, and she might forget you because she was old. She was trying to remember who you were by sitting next to you and recalling her family history to make her remember which one of her children you belonged to.
No one knew how long it would take, and what you had to do was keep quiet, keep your eyes closed, and not panic, especially when she moved her face close to you and you could feel her cold breaths over your face.
