At Rhysan’s Place
I can’t believe I let go of my fears. Finally, after years, I’m dating her again. How is she obsessed with peonies and white chocolates in her every life? Don’t tell me she likes strawberries, too. She looked so gorgeous today. I can’t believe she likes me. Her gaze, her smile, her embrace, her voice! Agh, it’s so addictive. She’s like a drug to me. A drug that will completely ruin me and take me into fantasies. I forgot. Did she just compliment me?! Compliment who? Me? Whoa! I can’t believe someone so gorgeous complimented me! Let me go take a shower. It’s already 9:00pm. I have to submit those files before 10. I then took a shower. After a warm shower, I came out, only in my towel. My hair was completely drenched in water. Whoa, I look hotter when wet. Dang! I then wore grey sweatpants and went to work. I opened my laptop. Checked the files, ensured there were no errors, and then submitted them. It’s almost 10pm. I went to the kitchen to make myself something for dinner. I crave rice. Fried rice would be nice. So I took the leftover rice from the fridge and began cutting spring onions. After cutting the green onions, I began sautéing them one by one. Later, I added sauces and scrambled an egg, then added the rice, and finally mixed them together. I finished it off with black pepper. I picked something on Netflix and ate dinner. After 10:30, I went to the kitchen to wash the dishes.
Gosh, I’m so tired. After tidying up the kitchen, I went to my bedroom upstairs. I switched on the air conditioner and started recapping the entire day. I soon fell asleep really quickly.
“Darling? Darling! I said as I saw her covered in blood. I ran to her and began calling her name aloud. There was no reply. “Please, please, wake up! Don’t make me worry. Sweetheart? Wake up. It’s me. You are safe. Thirty minutes later, she still didn’t wake up. There’s no one around. There was not a single person around to ask for help. It was a remote area. Being hopeful, I continued calling her aloud. No response. I quickly went up to the nearby stream, grabbed some water in my hands, and ran up to her. But the water from my water was only a little, so I sprinkled it on her face instead. She showed no signs of motion. I ran again, drenched in tears, to grab some more water. This time, I managed to put it in her mouth. No use. I stayed with her. In that forest. The entire night. With all kinds of bugs and reptiles around me. I still protected her. By closely holding her in my arms. My embrace was warm from the fever. But her body began growing colder and colder. There’s nothing I could do. Morning came. She still hasn’t woken up yet. I went to the cliff. Praying constantly to God. To bring her back. Days passed. Her body grew paler. I was exhausted. I haven’t had anything since then. I was sitting on the edge of a cliff. Suddenly, a strong breeze blew past me. I held her tight within my embrace. But just then I started to feel dizzy. Really dizzy. I felt I was falling. Just as then. I found out. I was no longer on the edge of the cliff. I had fallen off it. Afraid that she would get hurt, I held her tightly within my embrace. “I’ll protect you till I take my last breath-
I woke up. Terrified. Those memories hit me again. I still remember that day clearly. The day when I lost her. The day I failed to protect her. I couldn’t even say sorry. She was already gone by the time I reached here.
I went to the kitchen. Drank some cold water. Took a sleeping pill and fell asleep.

Next Day
I got up. Five in the morning. I washed my face with facewash and went to hit the gym. I do about an hour gym daily. After that, I return home and made a drink for myself. For today I made a strawberry day. Strawberries were always her favourite. So, I made sure they were always in stock. Suddenly, I got flashbacks of last night’s dream. Well, maybe a nightmare, you could call it that. However, it was not just a nightmare. A real-life experience, that I’ve lived through. And it’s still haunting me, till this day. It’s behind me, always. That day, how could I ever forget it. It made me like this. How I am today. Anyway, I went to the kitchen to make breakfast. What do I eat today? I had fried rice last night. So, toast? Nah, croissant? Pancakes? Well, I don’t like like anything sweet anything now. Pasta? Pasta sounds good. I quickly put on the apron and began chopping the veggies. After making everything ready, I went to shower.
Later on, I arrived with the sweatpants from last night, and I made the pasta. I then had breakfast. After I had breakfast, I got ready for class. What do I wear today? What fit? I should impress her in every way possible. School heartthrob fit? Nah too jerk coded. A suit? Huh? Am I going to a wedding or something? No, I need something simpler. How about jeans and a baggy shirt? What the fuck! She doesn’t like that. Holyshit! Why don’t I have anything good to wear! I have some old money fits saved for dates. Well, should I just wear them and get new ones later? Sounds good, it’s not like I’m poor to buy clothes. I wore a burgundy shirt, giving off old money vibes and pair it with grey pants. It paired well, cause the sleeve end of the shirt was grey. I styled my hair, put on gel on. And tipped off with an Arab perfume. Ready to go. OMG I look so fine! Since, when did I go from homeless to super fine? Okay, next problem What car today? I took my Porsche yesterday, Ferrari today? Nah, Lambo? Nope. BMW? BMW just sounds good to me. Oh shit, I almost forgot the books. I took my bag and the key to my BMW, and walked towards, it. It is the M4 model, M4 G82 Competition, black in colour. I started my car, only to realise, it has a very little fuel left in it. Thank god I saw it now. What if it had stopped midway when I’m on a date with Viella? I can’t even imagine! I quickly drove to the nearby gas station and fueled my car. I was then driving to university and that’s when I realised I haven’t brought gifts for my darling. How could I even forget that? I quickly turned the car, before reaching the university or else people would have seen me. I was then thinking what to get her today. Well, I got her white chocolate last time. I can’t give her a bouquet in the university. Cause, it’s a university. It’s not like meant for dates. Like to bring a literal bouquet in. And how she would even take it home? Put it in her bag? So, I decided to get her makeup this time. Well, if I’m sure, she must have the same taste as her past life. Well, if yes, then it’s easy for me to pick a shade. I went to Sephora. I picked her the viral Kiko glitter lipstick along with the gloss and had them pack it for me. “Sir, your girlfriend is really lucky to have you”, they said. “Thank you”, I replied. Whoa, why do I hear it everywhere I go? I just took the box from them, and left. I was in time for university. I saw Viella and Leah coming in. Just in time. She saw my car. She waved at me. I waved back and went to the parking lot. I parked my car, took my things and went in. She was with Leah, waiting for me in corridor. Once I arrived, Leah left. I looked at Viella. She was looked lost in her thought. The way she looked at me. I can clearly see from face, what is she thinking in her mind. “Am I that fine today, darling?” I teased her. Still no reply. Whoa, am I really that fine. That’s when I noticed her outfit. She wore like a girl boss type outfit. Whoa. She look so hot in them. The hair? Totally diva vibes! “You look hot, darling”, I replied. “Ah, ah, m-me? Oh, yes! Thank you. Y-You look so fine today”, she finally replied. “Ah, thank you sweetheart. Here, this is for you”, I said as I handed over her the gift I brought. “Thank you, what is it?” She asked me. “See it for yourself”, I replied. “I have a gift for you too”, she replied as she handed over a box to me. I never noticed, that she had a box in her hand, the entire time. It’s her fault to be this stunning. Back to the topic, she has a gift for me? Whoa! “Thank you, darling.”, I replied. Bell rang. We then head to class. “We should head in separately, to avoid suspisions”, she said. “Let people know that I’m yours, we don’t have to hide it darling”, I said. She clearly blushed at that and didn’t speak another word. It made me blush as well.
Time skip
Classes are over for today. I then looked for Viella to have a chat with her. Turns out, she was searching for me as well.
“Rhysan, are we going out today?” She asked me. Gosh, I didn’t plan anything, cause I thought to get her some rest. “Yes, sweetheart. How did you guess it?” I asked her. Trust me, this trick always works. “Hehe, I guess, I was right. Can I take you somewhere today?” She asked me.
