Nearly 30 years after they first met, McKenna finds herself starting a new job where Rosemarie works. Rosemarie cruelly rejected her fondness and proved to be a real hater, in general, many years ago. Upon starting the new job, McKenna recognizes her right away. At first, she is hesitant to tell Rosemarie, who doesn't seem to recognize her, who she is. But then she finally tells her, and they don't exactly become friends but form a truce of sorts instead.
Then one day, McKenna tells Rosemarie that she is apartment hunting, and Rosemarie invites her to share her house with her instead. What McKenna doesn't know, however, is that Rosemarie's intentions aren't all she's led her to believe they are.
