不知道大家有沒有聽過角落生物，話説兼職芒果星期五生物有小考，因而決定今天開啓日常生物系列。今天要説的是 lipid.

Lipids are biomolecules, meaning that they are organic substances.

Lipids are hydrophobic (=insoluble in water) and lipophilic (=soluble in organic substance). They are mainly compounds of hydrogen, carbon and oxygen (proportion of O is relatively smaller comparing to saccharides)

other functions:

1. As organic solvent to dissolve lipid-soluble vitamins (vitamin A and D)

- solid : fats liquid: oil

- hydrolysis can turn triglyceride molecule back to its constituents

- Function:

2. as an insulating layer to prevent heat loss

3. act as shock absorber
