是什麼樣的意念，才能讓九位迥異的人互相殘殺？

暴風雪封鎖了山腰的別墅，九位互不相識、背景迥異的人各自收到一封沒有署名的邀請信——「來參加冬日讀書會，你會得到你想要的東西。」

他們的職業從特警、律師、法醫到作家、學生不一而足，然而一場關於文學價值的辯論，迅速撕開了表面的禮貌，暴露出各自不可告人的過去與衝突。

管家宣佈：三天內，必須選出一部「當今最好的文學作品」。

但在這座被雪封的莊園裡，唯一的篩選方式，也許不是說服，而是……讓異議者徹底閉嘴。

當第一具屍體倒下，讀書會將不再是讀書會。
