Magazine editor Markayla Seymour has a comfortable but boring marriage. She meets Shane on the job and is intrigued by the younger man’s attractiveness and mysterious air.

When her husband is killed as she runs from a crime she witnesses, she learns something rather surprising about Shane: he isn’t quite who she thought he was.

But now she is both lost and devastated, and the man who piqued her curiosity suddenly seems too good to be true.
